It's beautiful, but see photos for more accurate color.
My son told me he wanted a Kalimba. I had to look it up, because I had no idea what it was.I went with this one because of the color. It looked like the option that would most appeal to my 9 year old's sensibilities. It's gorgeous. It looks expensive. It has a good weight, and the wood is beautifully finished. Truly, I tried to get the color and texture of the wood in pictures, it's a beautiful sapphire color. The image showing the corner is the most accurate for color. It's not as turquoise as the stock pictures indicate. Then I stashed it in the garage with the other presents.BUT then I took it out to show my husband, and we kind of geeked out about it. It's really cool. It makes pretty music! I have no musical abilities and I made pretty music. The booklet comes with instructions on how to play a couple of simple songs, and how to find the free tuning app.I tried Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, which was out of tune, but super easy.It comes in a solid box, there's a fairly thick velvet bag, 2 finger covers, a tuning hammer, some stickers for labeling, and an instruction booklet.

Good for beginners
This Kalimba is cheap, pretty, and a good starting tool for beginners. I got this to get myself back into playing music. The build quality isn't amazing, I'd say it's about average. I noticed the little gold tag on the front that has the brand's name on it was crooked. But I later found out it's just a sticker! So I was able to adjust it and it hasn't fallen off yet. The booklet this comes with is really incoherent and you can tell it was badly translated. I ended up tossing it because after trying to read through it, it was not helpful at all. Luckily there are a lot of videos and apps to teach you how to play.

Dead tines!!
Since the moment I bought this, more than half of the tines (metal strips you play with) have been dead. They don't resonate/hold their sound like they're supposed to. I thought this was normal for some of the tines, but an expert help me see that's not true. Maybe I got a defective one, but if you buy this, I would highly recommend you check to see if yours works properly. It really is a shame because the color and wooden frame is nice.

Crooked emblem
This kalimba is a very pretty blue color. It feels good in your hands and sounds great. I'm happy with it for the price. I was a little disappointed to see that the gold emblem on the front was a little crooked. The instrument itself is well made but there is definitely quality control issues with the finishing details.

Beautiful Instrument
Bought this little guy as a gift and I absolutely love it. It is the most beautiful little kalimba I have ever laid my eyes upon. I was actually jealous it was a gift for my spouse after I received it. I purchased the blue one and the color was so pretty. I was happy that it came with all of the accessories as well. Very good quality overall!

Missing tunning hammer!
It's beautiful but it did not have the tunning hammer as listed. Can you please just send the tunning hammer? I'm disabled and can't leave my room. It sounds beautiful except for a few off then keys. Please send tunning hammed. I hate to have to throw it away because it's out of tune. Thank gou !!

Thumb Piano
Love the teal color. Would have preferred that the key labels had been permanently engraved on the bars - the stickers were a pain. They werenโt perforated so you have to cut them apart and trying to stick them onto each bar was messy as some were larger than the bars. Other than that, it has a nice tone. Looking forward to actually learning how to play it.

Well made!
This one is very well made. The blue is cute too. It can be difficult to learn, but that's any instrument. You have to have patience and keep practicing. I wouldn't recommend gifting it to anyone who didn't already express an interest, or it will just sit on a shelf somewhere.
