igourmet Raw Milk French Raclette Cheese - 2.5 Pound Cut - The world's most famous melting and fondue cheese

Well packed and well received, cheese was cold to the touch when unpacked.Looking forward to the next Pierrade grill night.

This cheese tastes very good and melts up nicely with a cheese-melting heater. It does have the appropriate slight pungent smell, but the taste is not at all edgy as one might expect. It is very smooth. We use a specific raclette knife to scrape the melted cheese onto our potatoes and ham, and it works well. The shipment arrived in an appropriate box with dry ice and without any problems at all. The vacuum seal was not tight, but it did not compromise anything. Also, I would give this 5 stars, but it is a bit pricey if you have a local option. Otherwise, for mail order, this is about as competitive as I found for this high of quality. We will buy this again.

This raclette cheese is very good. I have ordered this product for several years, and I would reorder any time again. I am writing this review to caution customers to pay careful attention to the vendor and to ensure that the product is sold by "igourmet" directly. This vendor ship Fedex in styrofoam packing with ice that was still frozen when the product arrived. By contrast, I recently accidentally order from vendor "University Gifts (US Company)". This vendor sticks the cheese with insufficient cooling in a padded envelope. When the product arrived, it was smashed and warm. I consider it unsafe to eat, so $40 wasted. It is unbelieable that Amazon lets vendors like this onto their platform. So again, this product is great, just be sure to order from igourmet!

Will not order again. Very old and smelly

For our annual Raclette holiday get together, we decided to order this raclette and save ourselves from the holiday shopping rush and expensive prices at our local source. We, and our guests, were not disappointed. This is excellent raclette, some of the best we've had outside of Gruyere, Switzerland. It is very creamy, melts well and tastes great.

This was a very nice cheese. I was a bit hesitant to buy it because of the thin-looking cheese in the photo but it was a good 2 1/2" tall and comparable to other Raclette cheese I've bought. It's got the signature mildly funky smell and melts wonderfully. I've already recommended it to others.
