Classy looking, but a few pesky issues.
Love this little lamp, in spite of a few things I wish were different. It was easy to install on back of headboard, BUT the damn blue ring light around the power/dimmer button is an issue. First off, blue light has been issue forever as far as being “energizing” and can negatively effect sleep. It should be amber or orange. It didn’t seem a problem when we went to bed but in middle of night it was too bright and annoying so I tried to “touch” it off, and the light turned on scared the crap outta my man (pretty funny)... so today I took matters into my own hands and used black nail polish to cover the band around switch so the silly “night light” is gone.As far as the light, it’s decent color temperature... not too cool, but could be warmer, in my opinion.Love that you can dim it as it’s WAYYYYY too bright on full brightness, but wish it could dim even more, as at its dimmest it’s still pretty bright in totally dark room. Also love that it “remembers” the brightness it was last at so you don’t have to re-dim it every time. Too bad it can’t “remember “ to never turn the blue light on again if you hate it. But the black nail polish on outer ring fixed that and had zero effect on functioning of inner touch button. ( P.s. I do realize you can just tap the button again to turn off the blue light, but it’s too sensitive and you keep cycling through light on/off!)

Very pleased
Overall I'm very pleased. The light pattern control is pretty good. Not quite as tight and small as the one it replaced but along with the dimmer, which the old one didn't have, partner is happy with the upgrade as well. It mounted easily and was unfussy. You mount the ring to the wall/bed in whatever orientation you choose and the rotate the light to the right angle before tightening the set screw. A happy accident is that the goose neck can rotate in the housing without damaging anything so it can be adjusted away or closer to the wall independently of the angle you set the flex arm.Brightness range isn't the best there's really only about five steps but it's bright enough and like I said above, knocking a click or two off of full bright is still bright enough for bed reading (depending on distance) and helps let partner not be bothered by the light. It took about 2 minutes to get used to the button sequence and I do sometimes turn it off when I mean to dim it but 2 quick taps brings it back. Happily, it remembers your last setting. Very happy, with the purchase.Where's the last star? You know, this was not the cheapest light on amazon. No, not at all. For $35 and tax, they could really pay for a better quality screws. I own a boat, I'm not stranger to screwing things together and taking them apart including wood screws. The heads of these screws are soft like aluminum. Despite using the right size screwdriver and drilling a pilot hole the head of both screws stripped out as they were being tightened.

Excellent performance. Installation not so excellent.
First, the wall-wart power supply is not shown. So it will take up a big space in your outlet - you know, the one where that other wall-wart won't fit at the same time. Wall-warts are used by manufacturers to make the device as cheaply as possible. Second, the cover is affixed to the base with an allen screw. No on on this planet likes allen screws. If you say you do, you're not being truthful. Further, the allen screw is mounted less than 1/16" from the bottom edge of the base - so, it is very difficult to turn because it's so close to the mounting surface. Allen screws are used by manufacturers to make the device as cheaply as possible. They do provide two different mounting screw options, and they also provide an allen wrench. So, once you get the thing mounted, it's great. The light is widely adjustable by touching and holding the power button, although the very bright blue ring of light is irritating - but it does go off - and the dimming adjustment is reliable. The light is, for me, a perfect color for reading and the focus of the light is excellent. Construction is also excellent, except the wires being separated right out of the light for about an inch is weird. Finish on the lamp is high quality and a great color (the dark one is the one I have). It's not worth $35, but lamps are overpriced anyway.

Good reading light
I wanted a focused light that didn't light up the whole room and this works well. I deducted a star for the blue locator night light surrounding the on/off button as it is rather intense even though it turns off when the reading light turns on after the button is pressed a second time. Holding the button lightly makes the light dim, releasing it and pressing again makes it brighter. In the pics I have it on the lowest setting. The light is mellow and doesn't glare although the pictures may look like it does since its reflecting off the light colored bed linens.I mounted it to my headboard easily enough. I have a tufted type headboard and with the set screw that holds the light to the circular mounting bracket being on the bottom it was a process to get it tightened with the Allen wrench provided with the screws. Found it easier to fit the light to the mounting frame and tighten down the set screw just enough so I could rotate it into place with the wrench still in place and then made the last adjustment to tighten it securely and remove the wrench. Not gonna think about getting to that little screw if it needs to be taken off...Update: Used it last night and wished it could be dimmed a little more. I had it on the lowest setting. Could ALMOST read with just the blue light

Has a simple on off switch with the light that can be directed as needed.
This lamp was easy to install. The light intensity was good and a dimming switch isn't necessary. Having a reading light helps a lot with eye strain at night.

Beautiful product
The design and the illumination provided are great. My only concern is the non intuitive dimmer function (it dims up or down by keeping the finger on the button) but once you understand it it is easy. This is for a guest suite and we have to tell our guests how it works.

Works well!
The light came quickly and in good condition. Provides a lot of light for reading and the dimmrr works well when you need it to be a little darker so your other half can sleep.

Just what we were looking forward to
Likes: Easy to install, sturdy, well built and easy to use. Previous posters who had difficulty with the use of the controller should re read the instructions. I love the dimmer function. The beam is just right, perfect for reading at night without the problem of annoying one's spouse.Dislike: Only one, the blue light is too bright for its intended use.

It's really small but gives enough light for reading.
I like the size, shape and flexibility. Nothing to dislike about this lamp.
