Very important message for first time buyers !
The media could not be loaded. Â I have been using the night rider system for 10 years. In all that time I only had one (out of8) lights go bad on me, and that was after I accidentally dropped it from three feet onto concrete. I could hear something rattling around inside. It failed a week later. As for the others, they all still work great. As for the title of this review I need to give the following cautionary note:When you first get your light it will most likely be at least partially charged. Note the blue color on button. Go ahead and fully charge it. Then when you are ready to use you will need to hold the button down for about ten seconds or more to activate the light. It is shipped in âelectronic lockâ mode so that it wonât be accidentally turned on during shipment. They can get quite warm when turned on in a confined space. Also, sometimes as the years go by I have noticed my oldest lights will go into electronic lock mode all by themselves sometimes . Just hold button down till light comes back on. Thatâs it. Enjoy one of the sturdiest and brightest bike lights out there.

Seems like they need to be charged often.
Out of two sets, one came dead on arrival. It was quickly replaced by Amazon or 3rd party. Wish the batteries lasted longer.

Blinded by the Light - Manfred Mann Style
My buddy recommended the 1200/250 light combo and it's awesome. All the features and lumens you want/need and at a reasonable price. At first the headlight wouldn't turn on, but after a quick Google search it's shipped in Lock Mode. Hold down the button for 7+ seconds and it fires right up.I ride early mornings as the sun comes up. I haven't used these for any night riding, but using the strobe mode I feel much safer and more visible. They seem durable and stay securely in place with the provided straps/mounting hardware. Important mounting note: the front lamp doesn't fit around my fork. I have a full carbon Specialized SL3 Tarmac and the fork is a wider/flatter design. I was hoping to keep the light off the bars, but that's where it had to go. Not sure if this applies to all carbon frames.UPDATE 9/28/20: I just found out the 1200 boost light conflicts with my wireless CatEye cycling computer. When the light is on (constant or strobe) the CatEye doesn't register MPH and the distance traveled is way off. As soon as I turn the light off, the computer works fine again. Very frustrating as I'm unable to find another mounting location far enough away from the computer to resolve the issue. Love the light, but this is a major problem if you're using a wireless bike computer. Dropped the rating 1 star as a result.

Reliable & Bright!!....
I just ordered a 1200 series as my 25 yr old 600 series charge chord was misplaced. It has long battery life and those asleep at the wheel will wake up with this light in their eyes. The old 25yr old still faithful bright!

Moved up in technology/quality!
Granted any lights (head/tail) is better than nothing. This setup is high end road tested and very high quality. I even bought the 300 tail light for my other bike, the next day.

I'm not sure it's 1200?
I'm not sure it's 1200 lumes? That or the distance of the light or beam is shot. I like the tail light đš

The brightest & safest on the market
I got these to make my road rides as safe as possible. They are visible from a very long distance, ensuring that I have the best chance against today's semi-attentive drivers. I drive past many cyclists each day that ride with garbage lights that honestly do nothing for them. They have either purchased really lightweight lights, or perhaps were trying to save a few dollars. Yeah, perhaps these are some of the most expensive on the market, but they also make you pop out of the scenery.

No Way to Charge
Received the lights the next day, great speedy delivery. However, there are no charging leads and no instructions. When I pay over ÂŁ100 for some bike lights I really would expect leads and instructions to be included. Very disappointing.
