Fuel Test Kit with 1 Reusable Tester for E85, Gasoline, Race Gas, Ethanol, Ethanol-Free Fuel Test

Markings are etched onto the glass vial. Very easy to use with 2 supplied droppers. One for fuel, one for water. Sturdy case keeps everything together. I used the kit twice on different days, from the same filling station. Both tests showed 5% ethanol for E10 fuel. I would prefer 0% ethanol but since the pump label says "may contain up to 10% ethanol", I'm happy with 5%. So I will be using this kit occasionally throughout the year. I used an old steel 1/2" EMT conduit connector as a stand for the test vial. The base of the vial rests inside the connector on the screwed in set screw, allowing the water fill line to be clearly visible above the connector. This simple stand makes it easier to use both hands to steady the droppers without knocking the vial over.

Initially thought the price was high; but the laser etched vile is worth the extra cost. Definitely going to last a lot longer than a stick-on label and won't ever be out-of-place. Markings are accurate having tested with E10, E70 (Kum&Go) and E85 (83%). Plus one side is reverse etched so you look through the vile from opposite side to check the reading - really helps to make sure you are reading the value with the liquid truly level. Do make sure to fill fuel to line using meniscus so you are not off a couple percent on the reading. Greatly appreciated the included pipettes as you are using a pretty small amount of water and fuel. Plus the simple plastic storage tube with cap is great for keeping all the items together. I initially selected this kit because I saw the markings going from 0-100; others just had low and high percentages labeled. I blend my own fuel mix with 1/3 E85 to 2/3 premium. That yields about E33 which the car loves; but I have to make sure it's less than E40 or the computer has problems. Plus with the new blending pumps offering E25-E50 mixes this tester gives me quick accurate results at the pump. I've also found the storage container is great for taking the vial prefilled with water to the pump for a quick test before pumping a lot of fuel. About the only thing I'd like is if they had included a plastic base or stand to hold the vial while letting the mix settle out. The vial is only 1/2" in diameter so it's important to make sure you set it on a smooth level surface so it doesn't fall over and roll away. Otherwise I'm very pleased with the seller and this product.

I have 3 kits. This one and another read exactly the same, and are accurate. The 3rd (not this style) was way off.This comes with a better storage container than before. The 2 plastic fill tubes are nice, except one cracked on first use. The other things like the gloves and wipes are rather unnecessary in my view.

It's a little small but rugged etching on it and easy to read as well as made of glass. Built to last.

The etching on the vial is crooked and the bottom is slanted preventing it from sitting upright on a counter or anything.

If you need an accurate, affordable, reusable test. This is the one!

Use this fine kit to make sure the Ethanol free gas is actually Ethanol free.The kit and package are nice and will protect the bottle in m tool box but I have to customize the kit to make it easier to use for my setup.
