I bought two for a recent camping trip due to their versatility -- but they are much brighter than I had imagined and can easily replace a traditional propane lantern. I had one under a 12x12 canopy and one in a 10-person tent and both areas were very well lit. These guys are super versatile and very well thought out -- compact, built-in carabiner, usb and solar charging, different light modes (including red which is appreciated) and glows in the dark to boot. They seem reasonably weather resistant and should last a while. My only concern is whether the white, collapsible, rubber shade will eventually dry out and tear due to sun exposure.... but only time will tell. For $15 it doesn't really matter.... All in all, one of my favorite additions to my camping gear in a long time.

I can't give this product enough thumbs up. I am an avid camper and have used Mini lights from battery-powered LEDs to Luci lights. This little light is far more versatile than a Luci light and doesn't weigh much more. You can charge it up on a USB or you can use a solar panel and it will charge all day. An added benefit is that the silicone part of the light will glow in the dark for a couple of hours after you turn the lamp off. I have hung it in my RV and in the tent and I have flipped it over and used it as a table lamp . It will illuminate table more than adequately to eat dinner or play cards. Not bad for a little light that packs up smaller than a hockey puck. Highly recommended.

Hotshot driver. Use it in my truck at night. Like how bright it is and options to recharge it. Like the glow when the lights turned off. Red light is handy at night to if i need to find something while driving

I recently bought this rechargeable lamp shade version of this light. It is compact, simple and very bright. It literally lights up a whole bedroom and does a pretty good job on a large room like a living room or a kitchen. Since I live in a hurricane area I have several battery powered lights and this is the best I've ever owned. I highly recommend it

we bought 30 piece and most of them are ok some not charging and some buttons not working anymore very sensitive

Loved this item, until I drained it so I can charge it up using the solar. It sat in the sun for 8 hrs, it turned on, but I wanted to see if it was fully charged so i plugged into the usb port. It took another 4 hrs of charging. What!? The description said thats how long it takes to charge an empty battery! I will probably return it to find a more reliable solar charger. Iffy about the 340 lumen claim, its similar brightness as another one I am testing out that is 200 lumen.

We love these lights. We use them for my art tent during dark hours, as night lights, emergency lights and as flashlights. They are so useful convenient and powerful. I love that they are rechargeable and have a variety of settings, including glow in the dark when off.

This light is great for camping: it is small and has a useful collection of lighting modes. The little hook on top is likely to break, at which point I figure I'll sugru something more durable into place. But for the money, its an awesome little light.
