i want to paint kitchen cupboards to freshen them up will I need to prime first over existing matt finish paint

I’ve used it in the walks and ceilings so I’m not sure if it would work on cupboards doors hun. Might be best to get pain that’s made for that. B and M do a good range x

Yes, a primer will help stop any greasy seeping into paint. Clean well with a degreaser like sugar soap or whatever you use, when dry apply a primer, then paint. I use BIN primer, usually one coat is fine but if you can still see any staying just whack another coat on. That will help it stay looking good for longer, and when you add up time and money the extra spent on proper preparation is worth it. I love this colour, btw, a lovely soft pale grey.

Will this paint over a darker colour with 1 coat

Hi, this is a 2 coat product - on darker colours it may require 3 coats.

I'm painting this over primed tiles. Is this a pure matt or more satin?

It is like a flat Silk , not as dull as pure matt. Very easy to wipe clean. I have it on the walls behind my hob so quite a hostile environment.
