Ideal, Attractive, Functional Gift for Seniors
This was a gift for a woman in her 90’s with severe tremors and distorted arthritic fingers. When her fave ceramic Starbucks tumbler tumbled I pursued this option for a replacement. I knew it would be risky presenting her with so many changes. I wanted an attractive, shorter mug with a handle, lighter weight but not light weight that might easily tip, a lid weaker arthritic fingers could lift. The heavy metal options were out. She loves it! This mug maintains the heat as well as the heavy ceramic tumbler, if not better, because she can easily use the lid. This floral design was her choice. She complimented the design, vibrancy and choice of the colors. It fits well with her Florida decor. It was delight to her artistic eye, even the purple top. She has nothing purple so I was pleased I could offer her an alternative lid color before ordering. She declined. This mug offers her a quick visual of the liquid level without distracting from the design. The lower height of the mug with wider base and a weight with some substance all provide a safe, sturdy resting position. The handle is large for storage in a small kitchenette. Since she uses the mug daily that aspect is not an issue for her. The mug guarantee was one feature that helped solidify her willingness to try a new alternative. She’s happy with this mug and so am I.

Tervis cups are so great, one isn't enough!!!
I do a lot of sewing so I want a cup that has a lid and doesn't tip easily and will still keep my drink cold. This Tervis cup is the best! Pretty to see, holds my drink safely and is reasonably priced. Love it!

Beautiful
Bought this because I like to keep my tea/coffee hot. This does the trick and it is so pretty to look at. It keeps my beverages hot much longer than a regular cup. And the lid locks, doesn't leak , and has a drinking hole. Hand wash both cup and lid. Very well made . Its a Tervis.! I would highly recommend this.

No fear of breakage on the patio
I use this mug when i have my coffee on the cement spatio in the morning. The lid keeps it safe from spilling and the coffee stays hot. I also use it for ice tea in the afternoon. It's pretty with the summer flowers.

So pretty and easy to hold
I love Tervis tumblers. I’ve been buying them for years. They last a long time, wash easily and keep a new look. They keep cold drinks cold and hot drinks, like coffee, hot for a long time. Since I have problems with my finger grasp, these are perfect because the handles are large and easy to hold with my whole hand. I love the nice patterns, like the pretty flower ones I recently bought. They aren’t cheap, but for how well they hold up, I feel they are worth the price.

First Impressions--Nice cup, but can leak
This review is based on opening the box and making a first cup of coffee in the cup (plus a bit of testing for leaks). If anything further comes up, I will try to come back and edit this text.I think it’s prettier even than its picture. As others have mentioned here, I needed a cup not taller than 5 inches, and it measures exactly 5 inches. So it fit my Brew ‘n Go perfectly. Its description says 15 oz., which matches the original stainless steel cup’s stated capacity. I used a measuring cup to verify it—exactly 15 oz. at very nearly the top, whereas the original cup has about an eighth of an inch more room at the top when filled with 15 oz. No big deal. And, unlike the original cup, I can microwave this one if I manage to let the coffee get cold. This was a big reason why I wanted to find a different cup for my brewer. The cup is weighted—while the bottom quarter-inch is clear, I think it is solid plastic, and it stabilizes the cup a lot. That’s good. I probably can’t knock it over very easily as I have done with other taller cups. The handle is very comfortable to use. With the cover on, my coffee stayed hot as I sipped it at my laptop. BUT, beware of the sipping area of the cover when the cup’s contents are getting low: when I had about 2 oz left, I had to tip the cup very steeply to get a sip due to the shape of the cover’s lip, but this move spilled coffee with creamer on my shirt. At that point, I just removed the cover and finished my drink (and cleaned my shirt). That last issue was a bit disappointing. So then I filled the cup with about 14 oz. of clean water, put on the cover with the sipping cover in closed position, and held the cup upside down over the sink. It leaked a bit from the sipping cover area. Then I held it over the sink as though it was on its side on a flat surface, and it still leaked around the closure of the sipping area. So, no, it is NOT leak-proof. I don't really care, but other people need to judge for themselves whether this issue matters to how they will use the cup.

Nothing beats Tervis!
Love this mug - I use it daily! I stopped putting my Tervis Tumblers in the dishwasher though... I think it breaks their seals. This one is always washed by hand.
