Do-it-Yourself Carpet and Area Rug Binding (22 Colors Available) - Quantity 1 = 5 Foot Section, Aqua

I had a piece of carpet leftover from our living room installation. There is a pass thru that is in high traffic area and I thought it would be nice to use a matching piece but I didn't want to spend a lot of money as I expect it to get dirty quickly and need replacing. I thought that this would be worth a try. It went on fairly easily and looks just fine. I don't expect that it will last long since it is only glued on but I have had no issues so far and it has been on a few months and is walked on daily. I think that it is a nice option for the price and so far I think I would use it again.

I followed the instructions above and ordered quantity 5 x 5ft. I was pleased to recieve the expected 25ft in one long piece, since older reviews had claimed they weren't getting the right length or it was coming in multiple pieces. Installation was easy enough. I followed the video directions on Instabind's website since no instructions came with the binding. I was worried about matching the color, but the binding color was pretty true to the image above. Definitely use hot glue to attach. The adhesive is more to just help you place the binding in the right spot. Can't tell how long it will last, but it looks pretty great.

The binding is extremely easy to use and leaves a professional finished look. The bottom step carpet is the one I cut and used this binding on. I cut the carpet on the top and bottom and used this binding on both of those edges. the side edges are the factory edge.

Product was delivered in record time! Product is of excellent quality, imho, and was a good price.The color however, it's way off compared to the color depicted on the website. I decided to use it anyway as it was not going in a fancy area or anything like that. I used it on the ends of a "by the foot" kitchen runner so it already had sides on it and I could not finesse the ends into going together to save my life! Lol, full disclosure: I was working with a very injured index finger so that may have contributed to my difficulties. Had this been being used in a formal type setting I would have asked, and gladly paid a couple dollars or so, for a set of samples to properly gauge color coordination.Also, at first, I had a bit of problem getting the backing to stick to my rug. Laying it on a flat surface and pressing along where the adhesive was fixed that and gluing the ends finished it off. I got a bit of glue I missed before it dried but that was just user error (poor coordination due to finger). I am otherwise extremely happy.

A near perfect match to the carpet that required fixing. The quality of the binding is very good. The adhesive is properly gauged for attachment to the carpet you want to repair. Delivery was super fast. It arrived a day or two before actual promised date. It was packaged super securely. My carpet looks like new. Your product and selection online is awesome! I'll be recommending to friends. if and when i need any carpet or carpet products i will be a repeat customer.

I had a small piece of carpet left over from our new carpet installation. And I wanted to make a small rug out if it. The company that sells this was very happy to send me some samples. And the Tan color matched the best with my carpet. And the length came a one continuous piece. But you MUST use a hot glue gun to adhere the binding to your carpet. And you must have patience and work about an inch of section at a time. But with all that said, it turned out great. I’m hoping it holds up well, and since it’s not in a high traffic area, it should be fine. I’m now thinking of doing the same with another remnant. If you can use a glue gun, you can easily use this product.

I ordered 15 ft and was able to bind two 18" x 25" mats. You need to use a hot glue gun. There were no instructions enclosed so I followed the instructions on the YouTube video for Instabind like some of the other reviewers did. The mats look great and it was easy to do. My husband was impressed.

If you are patient, it works great. Suggestions - trim the carpet edge well so no loose strings are left before using your glue gun.
