The skimmer arrived quickly and works as expected. In the few times I've used it so far I haven't had any durability issues and don't foresee any as it seems to be well constructed.There is at least 1 reviewer that talked about how the handle 'keeps' falling off. I think they must be reviewing a different product than I received. The skimmer that I received has a one piece handle with the rim around the basket. If it fell off it would be useless so there's no way for it to 'keep' falling off.The last skimer I had was one with the basket that looks more like a spider Web and that had a lot of sharp little points that kept unraveling this is superior to that for sure. My primary usage of this is to pull small fried items such as potato chips out of my Dutch oven.

She needed a Spyder for strain her plantain chips among other things. so-far it's working great. the business end is big enough to strain a lot of chips.

This spider collects far less food residue than the wire spiders, and the handle is great - it won't trap water in and rust from the inside like many will. This is a keeper!

Elegant comes to mind with this smooth, metal cast in one piece and strongly built utensil.While working It feels very pleasant in the hand. Super easy to clean.I use it to collect my Apple Fritters from my 20cm DeepFryer. Also as an Egg Separator. Excellent size for a home kitchen.Arrived as anticipated & well packaged.Will probably buy it again to give to a loved one. I cannot praise it enough!
