Japanese in MangaLand: Workbook 1

My 23-yr old autistic step son is enthralled with Japanese culture, animae, writing and speaking. He enjoys the examples and story line in this book. He has began tracing some symbols and is even trying to speak Japanese back to us for simple words. This and other books have inspired him to purchase a Japanese/English dictionary on his own to use. Again, this is a great way for him to spend a portion of his day.

Bought This and the workbook for my 13 year old niece who wants to learn Japanese and she loves these!!! It's deffinetely geared toward her age range. I used to know some Japanese and I looked through these and it looks knowledgable

Great Product!!

This book is an excellent tool for learning Japanese. I received my copy of the workbook before I received Japanese in Mangaland (some shipping problems, I guess) and I was able to work backwards from this to learn Japanese while waiting for its companion. Now that I have Japanese in Mangaland 1 as well, I realize just how necessary this workbook is to really cement the concepts taught in JiM, especially for those who don't have another outlet to practice Japanese.

No problems, everything was as described.

This book made me realize how hard Japanese really is. Its a great book for the interested but don't think that your going know Japanese after just reading this. Combine with the  Japanese in Mangaland: Basic Japanese Course Using Manga  for effective learning. I only got this to familiarize myself of what I'm getting into when I take Japanese in the coming semester at school.

This is a great book to learn Japanese from. It was an easy to use format and when combined with the workbook is a cheaper way to learn the basics of the language

The workbook pairs nicely with the japanese in mangaland book its basically an action (mecha) manga with exercises to help you translate it . Even after first lesson the ability to apply what i learned helped seer in my mind the lession i had completed. i was happy with it

Se dopo aver esaminato i libri per lo studio del Giapponese presenti sul mercato avete scelto Japanese in Mangaland, non potete fare a meno di questo workbook, che completa con gli esercizi gli argomenti spiegati sul libro teorico.Anche in questo caso ci troviamo di fronte a un libro con illustrazioni molto carine e simpatiche, che permetteranno di imparare il giapponese con un pizzico di divertimento in più. Mi sono trovato bene, e lo consiglio alle persone che tendono ad annoiarsi facilmente durante lo studio di libri più formali ed accademici.Per quanto sia validissimo questo libro, io continuo però a preferire il Minna no Nihongo. Opinione personale, ovviamente.

I've tried a few manga-based, japanese course books but this one is so far the best! Clear well planed chapters- pleasure to use.

Cercavo proprio qualcosa di simile... e questo è molto meglio di quello che pensavo! Accompagnato dal workbook è un grande libro per imparare il giapponese! Naturalmente è utile utilizzare anche altre risorse, ma questo accompagna il tutto egregiamente. Lo uso come libro principale.
