I watched some comparison videos online and was quietly optimistic when I ordered this but unfortunately when I started recording with it I found the recordings to include a noticeable hiss and general background static. Searched some forums and turned off bluetooth (and even mobile data) as suggested by some, but the noise and static persisted. It's not terrible and is a definite improvement on the phone's internal mic but in like for like recordings in the same condition I found my hands-free mobile headphones to record better quality.

Works with an IPhone XR but you need a lighting adapter which costs approx £8.I can’t recommend this because the sound quality is poor. I bought it to record YouTube videos and tbh I go without as the sound is just better from my phone.Going to return.

For the money this mic is brilliant. I now use it to narrate and film with for my YouTube channel.Don’t forget though to plug straight into your iPhone, you’ll need the adapter. You can also use this in your MacBook Pro with a USB C line in. I’ve just done a voice over with it and it’s brilliant. The long lead really helps also.

I tried it with both my Macbook air (2019) and Huawei phone, didn't work at all, it only stopped the sound supposed to go into the headphones. The cable is also VERY long, not comfortable.

I love the fact that it needs no batteries (unless you connect it to a camera). The quality would be beyond your expectations although I never tried other lav mics so I have no point of reference. The sound is a tad muffled though. The long cable is a plus.

Sound quality isn’t bad for the price.

This is a nice mic. Pick up is good.

Not the greatest sound but good for the money. And major point is if using with your phone, you DO NOT NEED BATTERIES!!!
