This stuff works
I have had mouse problems for 47 yrs and have some very funny stories. This year, however, was not so funny. We had a warm Spring and a very bad mouse problem. They were getting up on the tables, which meant that everything had to be taken apart and disinfected. In the past we've tried sonic devices (don't work), scent bags (don't work). Live traps are cruel because if you don't check them, not even a mouse deserves to stare to death. Now that we don't heave dogs we've tried poison outside, but you never know where the critters are going to die in your house, and if outside, anything that eats them are goners. We got to the point where we were going to hire a professional, until we found out that they wanted a 1 or 2 yr contract, to pretty much load traps and clean them out. The only thing that works is traps with peanut butter, and a little bacon grease smeared on top. After awhile they don't work. Either the mice get smart or you get too much human scent on the traps. This spray works if you use it in conjunction with other things like noticing where the droppings are and plugging the holes. A mouse can get through holes the size of 1/4". Smaller ones can get through a missing screw hole, as I found out. We put door trim under the garage into the house, and under the pantry door. We put copper mesh under all the registers. We close the doors at night where we think mice are getting through. Anyway, we spray the heck out of rugs, under doors, inside cabinets, especially under the sink, wherever we have found droppings. This spray is pleasant to humans and does not seem to do any damage to upholstery or rugs. Mice have poor eyesight but a very good sense of smell. (I should know, I raised them as pets when I was a weird kid.) The strong peppermint smell seems to throw them off and repel them. Unlike the scent bags, which don't last very long,

Natural Peppermint Spray Keeps Rodents at Bay
I bought this after noticing small droppings around baseboards and the pantry door. I needed a plant-based, pet-friendly option that wouldn't fill the house with harsh fumes. The 16 oz bottle seemed practical for targeting entry points indoors and on the porch, and the description promised a ready-to-use spray with peppermint oil. In daily use it is simple to apply. I spray along baseboards, entryways, and outdoor edges where I suspected entry. It is pre-mixed and easy to use-just spray and go. The aroma is fresh and minty but not overpowering, and it dries quickly so surfaces stay usable. It didn’t stain wood or fabrics, which I appreciated. What stood out most is how well this smells while still providing a sense of deterrence. It feels gentler than chemical sprays and works in both indoor and outdoor spots that get a lot of traffic. After a few weeks I noticed fewer sightings in the spray zones, which felt encouraging. A small note: I do need to reapply after heavy rain or on porous outdoor surfaces, and those unusually scent-sensitive might notice the peppermint for a little while. Overall this has delivered reliable, natural pest control in my home and I would consider it a solid five star option.

It is a great repellent, not a barrier
This product does work. It does have strong residual aroma, but pleasant enough to most humans. I am using in unfinished basement studio/shop. We have woods nearby and birdfeeders out back. The product is a repellent, not a barrier. After more construction in the area a consistent plan was needed. I detected, sealed, and plugged all potential entry points and laid a few Victor electronic traps. Then came the Mighty Mint repellent which does work to discourage activity. All together, a sharp reduction in rodent activity with just the occasional insurgent. The product is very good as part of a program.

Works great for springtime ants! 🐜 Don't have rodents to verify claims.
Stopped ants in their tracks! Worth the money for pesky bugs, not sure about rodents. Powerful and smells of strong peppermint upon initial application. Unnoticeable after a few hours, little residue. I am impressed and pleased with purchase.

Effective Ingredient is only 4% Peppermint Oil
Although the container shows the exact amount of peppermint oil on the front (you have to zoom in) many potential purchasers and people whom have already bought the product have missed this important factor. 4% seems to be the standard amount from what I've observed across the web. The decision to rate this with 3 stars is due to the small amount of peppermint oil and its seemingly ineffectiveness. That percentage is also why the product is so affordable. I researched pure peppermint or 100% peppermint oil and it is extremely expensive in bulk (more than 24 oz) however that is what you truly need if you want to rid your space of rodents. Some good points: The gallon container has a handle as well as a convenient spray nozzle attached to a hose that's about a foot (give or take) long. It makes it very easy to spray hard to reach areas (behind item's that can't easily be moved, underneath immovable or heavy objects, in corners etc). The scent is not as overwhelming as uncut peppermint oil yet some who have purchased this product have found it strong and offensive to the senses. I like the smell of peppermint oil so that didn't bother me. Depending on how much and how often you spray, it WILL linger for days, gradually dissipating. What did bother me is that we didn't have a mouse or rat infestation so to speak, just probably the mom and a kid or two and despite spraying every nook and cranny of our small living space (often multiple times per day) the one or two little bas**rds were still around! I've used pure/uncut essential peppermint oil in the past (soaking cotton balls and stuffing them in corners and wiping the baseboards and areas I've seen them in/on and where I've noticed their droppings) and it absolutely worked. It kept them out for months and for nearly a year we didn't see any sign of them. I emptied this gallon jug in less than a week and the crafty rodents seemed to have found a space to hide where they were not as effected by the overpowering mint because they were still coming out (albeit very cloak & daggerish--lol) looking for food. Eventually (several weeks later and after finding one of their main exit and entry points and soaking it with 100% Peppermint THEN plugging that hole) they or it left. I hesitate to say that this product doesn't work (esp since other reviews say otherwise) but from the product description my expectations were set high. I was looking to see mice packing up like on the cartoons (Lol). I wouldn't completely count MIGHTY MINT out. I would suggest that if you decide to purchase, try adding a few ounces (I used 16 oz) of essential peppermint oil to the mixture to make it more effective and save the handy jug for future use, especially if you need to dilute your pure oil. I hope this helps.

Mighty Mint Peppermint Oil Rodent Repellent Spray
it works well keeping the critters at bay, it's not 100% effective, but it helps a lot. There is no repellent spray that is 100%. I use it spraying paper towels in discarded 1/2 gallon milk containers cut where I use the bottom half scattered in a trailer for mouse deterrence when winterizing the trailer. I also use the product to spray the ground underneath the trailer once a month year round.

Good mice repellent
Spray around my car in my garage. This works to keep the mice away from my car. I live more rural so it helps. Smells better than mothballs LOL

Results not immediate-persistent use necessary
Repellant seems to be working-still noticing mouse droppings, but number is lessening.

Product packaging & Customer Service execllent. Product Quality is very Good
1. The seller's customer service is Superb! When ai wad contacted by Fedex in Singapore that Seller had to provide some information for inbound customs clearance, I reached out to the customer service via Amazon. The customer service representative told assured me that I don't gave to worry as they will take care from their end! The 4 bottles were delivered to me on 17 March 2026 as per estimated areival date.. Amazing! 2. I just tried the produxt on my garden parameter wall as often the rats came over through gaps from my next door neighbour. I can smell the strong aroma of mint [itd pleadnat to.me!] But hopefully it will repel the rodants!! I don't heae sny grass movement so fsr as usually the rodents moved around on the garden. The smell is pretty strong. 3. What i like about this product is that it uses natural ingredients and not harmful.to.my 3 dogs [although I understand that mint essential oil is toxic to dogs] but the garden is not enclosed so it should be ok. 4. I WANT TO COMPLIMENT THE SELLER FOR THE PROFRSSIONAL PACKAGING. The 4 bottles were individually shrink wrapped and theere were no leakages of the content. The manufacturer is also very meticulous thst they even include a pieve if ehite cloth for wip8ng away any drips or leaks. Than you.

Suprisingly it worked!
So I have had a rat problem in my new car (cost of living in country QLD). Prior to blocking off the holes, I had little critters coming and causing very expensive damage. Well I used the spray (along with a trap) and put a camera in the vehicle. I have the rat on camera taking two sniffs and skuttling off on a number of occasions. Certainly seemed to work as when I stopped using it, the rat came back and I caught him in the trap. So far, so very good.
