My 2 year old and his 3 year old friend had a blast with this set. We’ve played with it in the paddling pool outside and just in a cardboard box inside. The magnets are strong enough to pull the fish up and he enjoyed bouncing them until they fell back into the pot. Great for their fine motor skills, learning colours and types of fish. I’d definitely recommend. Love that it comes in a little back pack to keep everything together. Only negative is the fishing rods are a bit flimsy in that the hooks to hold the rod in place move but it’s foldable so don’t know how it could be made better. By lo was quite rough with them and they were fine. For the price I think it’s great!! We played with our friends and bought our own immediately! Would recommend.

We've had a few of these plastic fishing rod kits over the years. Whilst I worry for the environment about the amount of plastic used in the kit, its actually a very fun, cool product for the kids to play with. They've made up and played many different games with the rods... in the bath, in the garden, in paddling pools, just hooking random toys in the living room.... it gives the kids a lot of entertainment value for the price. The rod and line is fully functioning. The line can get caught up on the inside at times but overall as far as cheap plasticky toys go, Its brilliant.

My little boy loves this fishing set. I would say some of the bigger items are too heavy to collect through the magnetic end so are abit pointless, the nets has snapped very easily. Good points the bag it comes in is great to keep it all together in the toy box, the majority of the sea animals (fish) can be picked up with the magnet bar about 4. For price it’s ok. I wouldn’t buy again but my little boy was happy until the nets broke. (He’s 3)

great fun for the kids, 2 rods and loads of fish and things with a magnetic part that the magnet from the fishing line on extendable rods touch's and you can reel in your fish..can be used anywhere we have used in the bath in the hot tub in a bucket of water and you don't need water even.

I bought this item on sale for my 4 year old and 2 year old as a little elf on the shelf present. At first I was like wow this is gonna break in an hour...but my kids played with this literally all day. We played with them in water and out of water and they survived the entire day. One of the rods came apart one time but I was easily able to pop it back into place. I was very impressed by how engaged my kids were and how they managed to see another day.
