Does the mat smell? My current mat smells like chemicals and I’m trying to avoid that.

Well it did when I first got it. However, i cleaned it with warm water & Dawn detergent with a sponge on either side of the mat & that got rid of most of the smell!

How does it stick on carpet? Does the mat slide around or stick pretty well?

I wouldn’t say it “sticks” but it doesn’t move around. I use mine on carpet and have had no issues whatsoever with sliding.

I don’t know the exact material, but it’s the same as any yoga mat I’ve ever used. It’s actually a little thicker than some, which makes it more comfortable for me.

Does this slip on vinyl flooring? i’m need a good mat for hiit exercises.

It doesn't slip for yoga, but hiit is so much more active. I wouldn't use this one, I just tried jumping around (burpees and jumping jacks) on it and it did move.
