Silk and bamboo? No. This is nylon plastic.Frankly this fan is dissapointing. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the hand painted, wooden fans in Europe, but this item does not live up.It’s pretty enough, so if esthetics are all you are going for maybe this is for you.As for function and quality, don’t waste your money.

Sturdy, colors are vibrant. I keep in my purse. I ordered 2, the other is for my 5 year old granddaughter so we can match.

Smaller than I had hoped, even though size is in the description I just couldn't picture it. But still love it

I wish it was a Little bigger but it does it’s job. I get hot flashes even in air conditioned places. It’s convenient to toss in purse. I keep them everywhere in car, purse near seating area at home. I keep extras to gift to friends at church if I see them fanning like me😂
