Ally Condie's Matched Trilogy Series (Set Includes: Matched, Crossed and Reached) Hardcover

I bought this for my daughter who loved Hunger Games and the Divergent series as much as I do. I can't wait till they make this a movie. It's too good not to turn it into a movie. It's just as good as the others with equally detailed view of emotions from the society. I bought her the books and read through the first before Christmas. I took book number 2 from her until I read it

This series really hooked me. I barrowed book 1 from a friend and immediately had to buy the series. There are a lot of plot twists and emotional turmoil, which really makes you "feel" like the caracter.

It didn't come with the compact, but the books we're in great condition and the lettering matches the color of the book cover

We had read such great reviews my daughter and I were so excited to read this "Matched" series together. We were unfortunately disappointed. The author poses a lot of thoughts and questions that she never actually sums up or even solves. Perhaps she got bored and lost in her own writing and had forgotten that she even had those thoughts and sub-stories going. We lost count of how many times she used "Matched" in her writing as it was used so many times in the first book. It was a struggle for me to finish the series. My teenage daughter doesn't want to give up on the series since she started it. However, normally books/series like this she has read in a few weeks max. She has been struggling with finishing this series for over 6 months, and is only just starting book 3!If you read mindlessly and don't retain what's being said or question anything then you may like the book. However, my teenage daughter and I think the books are better used as paper weights. "The Selection Series" and "True Love" series are far more enjoyable and worth your time and money.

My 13 year old niece had a used hardcopy of Reached, Volume 1, she'd given to me because she didn't like the book enough to finish it. I took it on a lark and ended up reading from cover to cover overnight. Ordered the next two volumes in the trilogy for my Kindle and thoroughly enjoyed hours and hours of reading. Although derivative of similar books in the YA dystopian genre, this trilogy contained enough twists and character development to keep me interested to the very last page.I read so much that it is a mark of a good author when I keep thinking about the characters and outcomes after I've finished the books.
