Real Techniques Neon Lights Cosmetics Brush Kit for Cream or Powder Foundations, Shadows & Contour Makeup

I have been a fan of Real Techniques for several years. Last year I purchased the Brush Goals set, which had the Ultimate Buffing Brush, which is now one of my favorites. When I saw this set also has the Ultimate Buffing Brush but in a different color, I had to have it. I was also interested in the eye shading brushes.The Ultimate Buffing Brush is slightly larger & more dense than their original Buffing Brush. The sparkling and brightly colored handle makes it pleasing to look at & fun to use. Unfortunately, the Buffing Brush from this set seems to be slightly less dense & the bristles have actually loosened up & will slide in & out of the shaft of the handle. A few hairs have fallen out, as well. I only purchased this set a few months ago & rotate it with my other foundation brushes, so it gets minimal use. I am really disappointed with this brush. I love the way it looks & the finish it gives but I'm afraid it will fall apart on me. Maybe it's an anomaly with my particular brush.As for the other brushes, the Large Smudge Brush is also a little disappointing. The bristles are not nearly as thick or long as shown in the pictures.The other eye brush is exactly as pictured. The bristles are dense & hold product really well.I hardly ever contour, so I haven't used the Contour Fan Brush but it looks exactly like the picture. It is more densely packed than a typical fan brush & it looks like it would work well for contouring around the cheeks.The Miracle Complexion Sponge os a nice bonus. I don't often use sponges but I really like the Real Techniques ones. They fit into the inner corner of my eyes (I have deep sockets) while other sponges tend to be the wrong shape/size.Overall, the set is OK but since I mainly wanted the Buffing Brush, it was a bit of a let down.Update: I pulled out the head of the Ultimate Buffing Brush & re-glued it to the inside of the handle. It doesn't move, now. Hopefully it will hold up.

I really love them if you don't need anything fancy this is a good set I got it for myself and my mom. The brushes are durable good quality and sooo pretty, soft and easy to clean. Would buy again as for the beauty blender it is the brand I always use works great doesn't absorb a lot of product, soft and durable.

These brushes are so cute! Considering how expensive a just ONE real techniques brush is in Boots or Superdrug, I feel that £17 for a handful of them is an extremely good deal. Love the limited edition neon theme too, great brushes.
