Works Great. Best value for the price.
The media could not be loaded. This product was basically easy to install. Installing it in a attic while it was 127 degree in there was not so nice. Works great. Runs on AC Power Adapter & Solar Power. When the AC Power is off or power goes out the, Solar Power unit will keep it running. The temperature sensors will keep it running as long as its above that set temp. It also comes with a temperature bybass wire that you can easily connect if you want the unit to run on the daylight/night setting. The motor is really quite. Can't even here it when it's running. The power of the motor is good giving a really good air flow. The Solar panel comes with 50 feet of cable to make installing it easy. Really satisfied with this one. Highly recommended!Update: It's January 2024 and this fan finally crapped out. Doesn't work anymore in any capacity. Too expensive to buy another one so I'll get another brand that may last longer.

Well made.
Very happy with fan. Nice heavy mounting frame assembly and dual power is a plus. Unit is quite running and should provide years of service. Seems to be a great made product.

Fan stopped working in less than a year.
Fan work great in summer. Failed to start again in spring even using ac adapter. Cannot reach company for warranty. POOR SERVICE AFTER PURCHASE.

Works fine, easy to install. Thermostat settings make no sense
This was not hard to install, works fine, works for a fairly large area attic. BUT the thermostat settings make no sense. Power off below 65F? WHY? When the outside temp is below about 70F, I sure do not want the attic cooled down and the house cooled down instead of being warmer because the warmer attic helps the house to be warmer.

High quality heavy duty!!
This is a high quality attic fan! I'm very impressed with the construction! The fan housing is made of 1/16th steel with heavy duty mounting brackets. It is not flimsy. The fan is quiet and doesn't rattle.Although this is meant for a gable roof I created my own adapter for our hip roof and existing roof vents. I mounted my fan in a distribution box or plenum which is ducted to to 2 other boxes, one at each of the roof vents. It works well for me.The solar panel is mounted on an exterior wall and the cable is run up through the soffit and eves. There is plenty of cable. The fan runs pretty well off solar alone, when there is good sun. When there isn't enough sun regular electric power makes up the difference. When there is no sun it runs completely on regular electric power. If there is anything I wish was different it would be a larger, more powerful solar panel. The solar panel is also high quality and the mount is also heavy duty. You can't go wrong with this fan! Make sure you tighten all the slide mounting bolts before you install the fan.

Great quiet solar powered exhaust fan, customized with switch
The media could not be loaded. I recently installed this solar-powered exhaust fan in my shed to include a shutter and customize it with an on/off switch to bypass the built-in thermostat switch. The photo includes:The installed exhaust fan.The solar panel on the roof.A short video of how quiet the fan is when powered on.The switch that I used.Parts list added to the exhaust fan:Qty. 1 - Broan 433 Automatic Shutter for 353 and 35316 Gable Mount Attic Ventilator (the size match perfectly with this exhaust fan)Qty. 1 - TWTADE Paste Type Switch Car Push Button Switch ON/Off DC12V Surface Mount Switch Water Drop Shape DIY Car Switch SPST Rocker Switch with 11.8" Cable for Various Lamps and Lanterns H-013-30CM (on/off switch)Qty. 1 - TYUMEN 18 AWG Gauge 2 Conductor Stranded 40 FT Roll Speaker Zip Wire Car Home Audio Cable, 99.95% Oxygen Free Copper Wires, White (bypass wire that I used with the ends with snap connectors on the exhaust fan and the other ends of the wires to the on/off switch).I am pleased with the quiet exhaust fan, and the on/off switch that I added.

Happy with the product
I have been using the fan for 1 month without issues. I decided to disconnect the thermostat an only using solar input. Exhaust efficiency is better than I expected. Noise level acceptable

Appears to be defective
This fan stopped working five days after I installed it. It just quit. I tried the regular plug, thinking maybe it was the panel, but that didn’t help. It appears to be the motor. I noted other similar reviews when I purchased it, but the majority were positive, so I bought it. Now, it’ll take 60 days to get refunded, I have to reconfigure my greenhouse gable to fit some other fan, and they don’t even want to refund my tax. Are you kidding me? Don’t bother with this fan. It feels substantial but it seems to be cheap.
