Nice, compact totally portable painting set. All the colors you need , basic but with only 12 colors they did a great selection, and you can pull out any or all of the half pans and replace with your own colors. Then there is a nice paint brush, and with the fold out pallets it gives you a lot of divided space for mixing your colors for little paintings. I also purchased the field artist 5”x5” journal, and that is beautiful, combining these two items gives you a small, complete travel set with everything you need for on the go painting.

A local artist at a fair showed me her portable field watercolors and notebook 4 by 4 inches. I was so fascinated with her tiny quick pen and watercolor pictures I immediately came home and purchased them. Yesterday I had a moment to test all of the colors to make a page of how they look on the paper and to mix some of the colors. I was delighted with the texture of the paint and it's deep color saturation. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this when I get some time to slow down and paint!

This is a sturdy little ( it’s very small-fits in your hand) watercolor set with surprisingly nice paints. There are no sharp edges and the tray that holds the half pans keeps them in there securely without rattles. The travel brush that’s included in the set is very nice. If you left the brush out, there’s room to add more half or full pans in the center. I had plans to replace the paints with a more professional brand, but they’re quite nice! Just buy it!

It feels real sturdy and have yet to test the paints. When I opened it, I was unable to get the metal pallet to open up due to how snug it fit, so I needed to bend it a little and it doesn't close as snug, but that is minor. I will update review after trying the paints.

Love this little half pan travel set. I take it with me everywhere. I have added additional half pans to it. This sketch was done while waiting at the airport. This one is for one of my students.

Perfect little palette for the traveling artist needing compact supplies. Versatile mix of colors. The brush is nice as well with soft absorbent bristles that keep their shape.

This is a very portable pocketable travel palette. The build quality is good. It holds the pans securely. One side doesn't quite open flat, which is a little annoying but not too bad if you're hold it in your hand. The paints are ok, the colors are vibrant, but they seem to granulate a lot. When mixed with water you can see large granules even with a single color, more so if you are mixing colors.

Not bad for the price. The watercolors in comes with are pretty good, too. Good for plein air sketching.
