Excellent dashcam, have been looking at getting one for ...
Excellent dashcam, have been looking at getting one for a long time and liked the design of this one slim and not some massive brick shape stuck on the window. Whereas this design fits nicely behind my rearview mirror, and is hard to spot unless you look for it. I located mine on the left hand side of the rear view mirror, so whilst driving I can't see the screen to avoid any distracting light emitting from the screen at night. Wire is tucked in nicely along the top, down the edge of the passenger door, under along the footwell and back out and around to the cigarette lighter. Depends how your cigarette lighter works (either on all the time or only when the engine is on) - but recording begins and ends with the engine on/off. Image quality is 8/10, it may be the shape of my windscreen (suzuki swift sport 2013) - but the far right and left are a tiny bit blurry for recognition. When pausing the video number plates can still just about be read, directly in front is crystal clear. Sound is also very good, even with a stereo and sub blaring away, the sound is actually not distorted at all and any other noises can be heard. Very good value purchase, would not hesitate recommending this dashcam to anyone looking to get one in this day and age of two sided accident stories. Gives great peace of mind that any idiot that may cause you an issue will be recorded for any evidence needed. Favourite part is the design, very small inconspicuous. UPDATE Was so impressed I bought another for the rear window. If doing the same, ensure you buy a much longer USB cable. I bought a 5m cable and was a perfect length for my small Suzuki Swift. Wire is hidden under the passenger footwell, around under the passenger door, under the rear passenger door, up the rear door pillar and neatly along the back window to the camera. As I was sticking it to the fabric internal roof, a bit of superglue solved the problem and keeps it nice and secure.

Cheap and actually good
Firstly don't go expecting broadcast quality pictures from a camera this cheap but it is fair to say I am very hasppy with what i'm seeing. Having tried a M80 Dashcam for ยฃ4 more this camera is FAR FAR better. It's actually quite small at 7 x 5 cm and sits comfortably on the windscreen. The USB lead is plenty long enough at 3metres. Included is a small plastic tool to help lift trim parts and the included 2 ports USB has a ring that glows blue. Daytime pictures are sharp and number plates readable probably upto 20 feet quite easily. Night vision is impressive for a camera this cheap. I noticed a lack of noise and the images don't blur on freeze frame. I did have to increase the EV to +1 though to achieve this, otherwise images are a bit dark. For this price I've no complaints.

Great quality - check 12v supply - time date lost
Quality of the recording is impressive as is the ability to mount and hide the cabling. My car doesn't supply a constant 12v to the cigarette lighter when the ignition is off, so time and date resets each time I turn off the car. This is a pain when looking at the recorded files (they all have same date). This doesn't affect the ability to record and with a bit of digging you'll find the file you want to view.

Does the job!
I bought this dash cam after an inconsiderate lorry driver forced me to change lane suddenly to get out of their way and scratching my car. The dash cam looks nice and discrete. However, the instructions are rubbish. There was a triangular 'thing' which I could not get fitted. Later on another buyer answered my question regarding fitting this dash cam. It did not fit in my Honda Jazz. I had to fix it with black cord on to the top of my rear view mirror. Apart from the trouble in fixing it into my car the camera has been recording and I was happy with the quality. The files created are in .MOV format. Due to the way my camera is mounted, the footage is upside down - not a problem can change with windows movie maker. The wires in my case are wrapped around the sun visor and I plug it in every time as I don't want to leave the wire visible. But if you really want to be neat it can be hidden away. All in all I am happy with my purchase. I am sharing here a video recorded around 8am on a March morning and video recorded 11pm. The video was edited to rotate it 180 degrees and I have cut some bits of the footage. But it was not enhanced in any other way. Letters on original footage can be read but not when the car is moving at speed.

A superb piece of kit
What I wanted from a dashcam was: - as compact a unit as possible to discretely fit behind the rear view mirror so I can't see it - for it to be not obviously visible to anyone from outside of the vehicle - a long enough cable to wire it discreetly in the cabin - HD quality - auto switch-on and switch-off when I start the ignition and turn the ignition off so no messing about remembering to switch it on - continued recording for a few minutes after I've left the vehicle - automatic cyclic recording replacing old files when card is full - install-and-forget referring to it only when I need to if an incident occurs requiring evidence to prove the truth I see some people have these dashcams dominate their journey being stuck in the middle of the windscreen with cables everywhere. I just wanted a high quality, discreet recorder that even I forget is there until I may need it. This does all of the above and for a great price.

Great little dash cam
This is an excellent product and proved very easy to install. Spare adhesive pads allow for replacement windscreens or a change of car. The quality of video is extremely good considering the price and I have viewed the recorded output on journeys made on dull, cloudy days and at night in heavy rain. All would be useable in the event of an incident. Despite the cam being fixed directly to the windscreen, the video is very stable. The SD card can be a fiddle to remove, but show me one that isn't. My only criticism is that the small trim removal tool sensibly provided snapped on first - fairly gentle - use. Or was that tool meant for extracting the SD card?

Neat camera but
Very nice neat camera, only problem was I couldn't get it work. It stayed stuck on a blue screen and wouldn't respond at all. It also wouldn't recognise the memory card being inserted. Contacted the seller and they tried to help but couldn't offer a solution so I had to return it. Didn't feel confident enough to try with another one the same so decided to look for an alternative

Good
Exellent picture quality from this dash cam, Nicely hidden behind the rear view mirror With no bulky suction cup to get in the way, And no camera shake This is the capacitor version and stops recording as soon as ignition is turned off, As it does not have a rechargable battery so cannot record detected movement..(Unless its hardwired). I also found that the camera did not record if i started the car after the camera had turned on. So if that happens i just unplug and replug into the auxilery socket.. Updating as i have now added the GPS module. Was going to throw this gps module in the bin, The air was blue as i called it a "ยฃ11$$% piece of c**p. Then i realised on the screenshot the gps was using software called DATAKAM RECORDER. REGISTRATOR VIEWER( Free ) Downloaded Datacam recorder and it all works fine.
