I have not tried these yet, but they are not as pictured. They are flimsy clear plastic.

great for my first graders
I bought these rubbing plates along with 3 others (4- for-3 promotion). The plates were lighter and more flexible than I expected but worked great with crayons, color pencils and embossing stylus. They are great for my first graders and cub scouts.
