This item is intended for large homes or homes with 8-9 tvs/modems. this is not a gain maker, it equalizes every port equally from every port that is used. if you are looking to boost signal, you may want to call your cable provider, this is not the product for you. this is intended to take away loss from splitters and lower upstream. if you do not understand what this means, you need to google it before purchasing. in no way shape fashion or form will this put a band-aid signal.

Works with Comcast/Xfinity X1, BUT...
I purchased this amplifier because I was suffering through pixelation, freezes & secondary cable boxes not connecting properly due to a weak cable signal. Initially, my secondary boxes would not connect with this amplifier until I also purchased/installed a $7 MoCA filter (also purchased on Amazon). Now everything is working perfectly. It's really annoying Comcast won't inform its customers that MoCA filters are required with X1 service, but Comcast's disappointing customer service is a completely different topic. My connections from left to right are: cable in, modem, power, main DVR, then the remaining boxes. Bottom line, this amplifier worked for me but only when accompanied with a cheap MoCA filter.

Solved some issues for me
This splitter allowed me to take a relatively weak signal inside my house and distribute it to multiple points in my house. Before I installed it, my Comcast X1 box could not get a strong enough signal to set up at the closest available point where cable enters the house. Now I get a solid connection to each coax drop that I have running back to this splitter.I have had no issues in the 3 months I have owned it with either cable television or with my modem.I like that I have room to expand, but its size makes it difficult to hide.

A Must Have for XFINITY
Just make sure this is the *first* thing in your home (closest to cable entry), and make sure the cable modem run is connected to the proper output. This is a must for many if not most XFINITY installs.

Slow erratic signal problem - SOLVED!
Fantastic! Replaced an elderly similar model and this solved my mysterious and never-ending signal strength problems once and for all. Simple and easy to install. I read somewhere that there was a technology change some years ago and if you have an older signal booster it might not be as effective. Seems true enough - replacing mine solved it!

Wonderful product!
We had been having problems with our cable signal. The cable company said there wasn't a problem. Decided to give this a try and have been very pleased. No more lost signals or pixelation on the TV. Installation was quick and easy. Highly recommend giving this a try if you are having problems with your cable signal.

Fixed my problem
Upgraded my Comcast cable service to X1. The X1 DVR box could not be activated. Traced the problem to my distribution amplifier/splitter. Replaced it with this. X1 now works perfectly. Video quality improved as well. Appears to be a very well made device.Update 2/14/2018. The splitter failed while still under warranty. The manufacturer will only honor their warranty if purchased from your cable provider. I had to buy another one.

Description is misleading
This is only a 4 way coax splitter

No MoCA Support
Unfortunately it doesn't work with FiOS Quantum. No MoCa support so the in-house network is lost. Back to conventional splitter with signal loss for me.
