Sea Life Colour By Number: Coloring Book for Kids Ages 4-8

I got this as a last minute stocking stuffer gift for my 5-year old son. I’m so glad I did because this ended up being his favorite Christmas gift and he got some pretty cool things. He has spent hour after hour at the table carefully coloring each page. He filled the whole book (about 20 different sea animals and a couple bonus butterfly pages) in about 2 weeks. I’ve ordered him another one from this series. Although my son can’t read yet, he’s learned to recognize the colq w or words and knows which color he’s supposed to draw for each number without my help. I wasn’t expecting that, so that’s an added bonus reading learning experience from this book! I picked this book because other kids’ color by number books looked either too basic and simplistic or too difficult. This was a perfect fit for him. The cover is a really good example of what each page looks like.

I am an adult and bought this book for myself. I remember coloring by number when I was younger and I thought it would be a lot of fun not to have to decide all of the colors for my pictures. I chose this book because of the adorable sea turtle on the front cover. I love sea turtles so much, I was going to be okay even if I ended up not liking any of the other pictures. Well, ALL of the pictures are adorable!!! Brilliant artist! The sea creatures really are SO cute and I love all of the sea plants and sea shells the artist uses to complete the drawings. I am really glad I chose this book and may buy it again, so I can color the same pictures with different shades of green or blue or whatever color is recommended. It is very relaxing coloring in this book! Oh! and the pages are really heavy duty with a black back so the colors do not bleed. (I color with felt tip pens. ) And the artist included some extra pages that were exceptional as well. After I write this review, I am going to go check out the other books by the same artist. I highly recommend this Color by Number for Children or Adults!

Bought this for the grandkids. The pictures are cute and I feel they finish coloring more pictures because of the numbering. It is also a good learning tool for matching the colors to the numbers. They have a guide on the bottom of the page as to what color each number is. We color the number since they cannot read the color, that way they can match the number to the color without asking each time.

My 4 year old daughter loves this book. Make sure you have plenty of color shades on hand. A lot of the pages will call for light and dark blue, light and dark brown, or light and dark green. The pictures are a little more intricate than other color by number books that I have purchased for her, but in this case it's a good thing. It keeps her occupied for quite a while. The cover picture is a good representation of what you will find inside.

I bought this for my grands. They have enjoyed it very much!
