Grandad Board book – 10 Dec. 2005

Children did not engage with this book so well.

I bought this for my son (2 years old) to give to my dad, his grandad. My dad found the story really touching even though it was about a little girl and her grandad. My son loved the pictures.

Not what I expected, thought it would be about a special love between grandparent and grandchildren.I was disappointed in this book and cannot see myself reading it again.

Lovely gentle story about a hippy Grandad who lives in a gypsy caravan. He spends lots of time with his Granddaughter doing all the things children love to do. Great for kids and Grandads alike

We got this book as part of a set when my oldest daughter was about 18 months. It became, and still is, her all time favourite book. We have read it to her so much that she can recite it word for word. It is a really lovely story about the special relationship that a little girl has with her grandad. We still enjoy reading it to her, and it is a good bed time story, as it is not too long. I gladly recomend this book, especially for Grandads girls.

This book is so sweet! I was tempted to buy this because of the great price but mainly because of the theme. I have two daughters who love their grandad to bits and the grandad in the story is very similar...its about the simple times they spend together and he too thinks he doesnt need to grow up!! Good size book, lovely illustrations. A must for any child with a great grandad.
