OK but would not reccommend
I ordered this as my Golden Retriever had hot spots on his face. Not sure if this cushion is for stopping a dog from scratching his face as he could still do it, maybe it's to stop a dog from biting wounds lower than the neck. The product is of average quality not particularly durable. In fact, I took off after a couple of days as my dog couldn't get comfortable. If you imagine a dog with a cushion all the way round his neck he couldn't lie down flat which was stressing him. I think a funnel that has been tried and tested for years would have been the solution. So now I've used it for a couple of days and it won't be used again. Bit of a waste of money really. Dissapointed!

Well made but not a help for my dog.
The collar was well made. needed a pump to inflate it. Fitted my border collie well but didn't stop him from accessing the wound as it didn't stick out enough . Had to go back to the awful plastic cone I was given by the vet. Hard to see what kind of wound or operation this collar would protect.

Doesn't do the intended job...
My puppy (cavapoo) was getting neutered and I wanted something more comfortable than the cone of shame. The reviews looked good so I was pretty confident it would work - well I was wrong. I quickly discovered that he could still turn and reach the 'bits' (or rather lack of!) bite u needed him not to. It needs to be say 5cm wider and that would be enough to stop your dog being able to reach. Obviously if your using it for a different part of the dogs body it would likely work well. But if you're buying for neutering/spaying then I definitely wouldn't recommend - and be aware it is non refundable.Luckily I did take a cone from the vets which got me through a very long night and have now bought a vest which covers the 'bits' that need covering.Being a puppy he still has the odd accident normally, so although this sounds slightly mad I've put a panty liner inside. This means if he has any accidents it's soaked up and if he tried licking the area it makes the the fabric wet only and it's not against his skin.So yes, although rhis could work well for some reasons, for the aforementioned it unfortunately isn't of any use. It is easy to inflate and is nice and soft, just depends what you need to use it got.Hopefully this review will help someone else making an informed choice

Was not ordered for me
I think it's done what was required so no complaints

Just the job
Used this to replace one of those horrible cone collars after my dog had an operation. As soon as we put this on him you could immediately see him relax. He clearly felt free again and as you can see went straight off to get his ball so that we would play with him. Different dig straight away. Instead if a sad dog, we has a happy dog.He didn't try to remove it once and happily wire it for about 10 days.

great while they last
Collar is great while they last but burst easily. Tried to patch to no avail. Had an idea to use a standard foam cushion 4 inch thick for a single seat which i had bought to help me getting out of my chair after my hip op. It cost £10 from local upholstery store. Use the collar as a template to draw around the cushion and cut out. Not a perfect fit, have to squeeze in but it works well, save you buying another one

Helped with my terrier's licking
These really do work, I liked the 1st one so much I bought 2 more so that I can wash the cover and still have one to use. My terrier has developed an excessive licking habit which damages her skin but these soft round donuts have stopped her reaching the parts and causing inflammation. Would highly recommend.

Good at its job, Needed reinflating every day.
The Collar stopped our dog from getting to her stitches, But it had to be reinflated every day. Seemed like the valve was slowly leaking, again not enough to stop it from doing its job but annoying.
