24G-4 w/ Cyber Headsets

this product is billed as a full duplex communications solution; i.e., my interpretation is that it is a party line for 4 individuals to communicate at once. i purchased it for that reason and it does not achieve this functionality, at all. instead, it ships with a Master and 3 slave type radios. you cannot all talk at once; the master can communicate with slaves that click their "continous talk" function (i forget what the mfg calls this function). the joke is that the continuous talk mode is spotty (we were using these on the aft deck of a 100' ship), and the units themselves are chintzy and basically do not really achieve what you want. perhaps it was because we had a wifi router nearby, but i changed our channels and continued to receive the same poor performance. will return once we are off the ship

I bought this for my wife and I to use on our sailboat while docking/undocking and anchoring. Great idea when it worked, but it pretty quickly became unreliable, and after 1.5 years no longer functions; the volume/on/off switch on the master unit seems to have a fault. Would not recommend this product.

I have bought this unit in the past for my coach and then one for myself. My coaches unit had problems right away , he was unable to hear the student. My units worked very intermittently. Most of the time the students could hear me , but I could not hear them, or the system would "kick" in about 30 minutes in to lesson. I only had mine about 2 weeks and then the master quit working altogether. When this system works it is fantastic !!! Unfortunately it did not work properly most of the time. The customer service is fantastic. My coach called the company and they replaced his unit with in days and he has not had any further problems. I called and with out any questions a new system was mailed to me with in 2 days. I just received the replacement and have not used it yet , I am hopeful that it will function correctly.

I like this product and found it very useful for our use in the sport of Powerlifting. We use it between the score table and the expeditor getting 2nd and 3rd attempts. My understanding when I purchased two sets is that I would be getting 2 Masters and 2 remotes because I many times run two competition platforms with two different score keepers so I would need two master controls and two remotes. I will be exchanging one set in order to do that. All in all the system has worked great. Used it for the first time at our event at the Los Angeles Fit Expo with all the noise and it worked great!

Very useful for group naration. We use this device for live translation during major meetings.

The older model of Eartec worked fine. This later model is highly unreliable - they usually work when tested but fail just as we are approaching the dock. We bought the 4 pack so all the crew could listen in. Supposedly only one crewmember can talk to the Captain but sometimes 2 or even all 3 can. But often when the Captain really needs information, like how close the stern is to the dock, no one can talk to him. We would not buy them again. Douglas Cochrane, M/V Orion, N57-25

I purchased this after losing 40% of my hearing to ear infection. Eartec sent it to the wrong address, didn't tell me. A few weeks after it was supposed to arrive I emailed an inquiry. They "re-routed it" A couple weeks later I let them know I was no longer interested and wanted to cancel the order. When it finally arrived I refused the package and sent it back. I have the receipt for that and tracking shows it signed and received. Eartec refuses to refund. They claimed first they never rerouted then they claimed that they did reroute but through a different carrier. They reduse to follow up with the carrier for the receipt issued. But they have no other tracking number. Meanwhile I am now out the cash (435.45) for the 24G and accessories. Beware!
