Fantastic! Illuminating - not blinding, and the motion sensor is awesome.
These lights are perfect. I use them in a long hallway and a bathroom, and they are lifesavers. Or EYE-savers, I should say. They provide the perfect amount of illumination needed for necessary nighttime trips. I have light-sensitive eyes due to migraines, and was tired of having my retinas burned because I had to turn on a light in the middle of the night. But these Hallomall lights are little blessings. The motion sensors on them are very sensitive, too. It's almost like the lights know you're coming. The lights stay on for 20 seconds. If it doesn't sense any movement after that, it shuts off. But if you're still there, just move a little bit and they re-light instantly. I can't say enough good things about them. I VERY highly recommend them. The only thing you have to "figure out" is how to remove the back panel to put the batteries in (3 AAA batteries, not included). No directions are included with the lights. You just get the light and a piece of double-sided foam tape to stick it on a wall. To remove the back panel, hold the unit in both hands so that the back of the unit is facing you. With both thumbs in the center of the unit, GENTLY push down and forward. If the back panel doesn't move, rotate the unit to the left 90 degrees and try again until the back slides forward. It will slide forward easily. Then you can install the batteries, replace the panel, put on the foam tape and place the unit wherever you want! Easy!I originally bought a 2-pack of these. The day after I got them, I bought another pair. I love these things! =)

great, but be careful with the tape
These little things are great. I read one review that warned against using the supplied 3Miles tape because it is permanent but after looking at how the back slid off (the whole light slides off to one side), I thought it would be fine to use it. I did not think to test the placement of the light as compared to the activation sensor, and it didn't work like I was expecting (the bulb should be facing the main direction of approach like a nipple on a boon). Anyway, I pulled the light off the wall and tore a 2x3 inch section of sheet rock with it. So do beware. I recommend using the removable 3M Velcro wall hangers.

Bought for Night-Time Feeding/Changing for a Newborn
Our first baby should be arriving in a few weeks, and I got these to light up near my bed and at the changing station enough to see things but not too much that I and the baby would be completely awake during the night-time feeding/changing. I haven't tried it with the baby yet, obviously, but so far so good. I like the level of the brightness, and how it turns off without me doing anything. I like that the light is not directly shining into my eyes. It is very well designed.Like other reviewers, I used 3M command strips to attach these onto the walls, and it worked perfectly. One of these medium strips holds up one light easily. . http://www.amazon.com/Command-Medium-Picture-Hanging-Strips-12-Picture/dp/B00I2XSWSY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1429351885&sr=8-1&keywords=command+picture

This Could Be So Much Better...
Ok, this product is not good but not bad. What I don't like about it is, while it is wall mountable, it's not mobile if you decide to wall mount it. What I was hoping was, that if I mount it on the wall, I can remove it and carry it with me as I walk in the dark. Some might say, oh but you can! The back plate slides off. Yes, that is true, the back plate does slide off. But if you remove it, the battery compartment is exposed and open. Last thing you want is the battery to fall out at night and you're on your knees looking for them. What i decided to do was apply velcro tape the back plate of the light and on my wall. This way I can mount it on the wall and remove it, as I please, without worry of losing the batteries. So I'd suggest you buy this and some velcro or magnetic tape.

Inexpensive Dim Natural Spectrum Ambient Lighting
Having owned Mr. Beam lights, I wanted something that was a little less bright, a little warmer (about 2k-3k spectrum), and unobtrusive. I have one mounted under my small mud area, gives the perfect amount of soft dim lighting so I can put on my shoes without stumbling in the dark. You have to understand that the *front* of this light is opaque, as shown by the white in the images, that means a dim illumination is given off at the rear area of the light, which dimly lights up the surrounding area, as opposed to Mr. Beam's spot light which shines directly on you.

perfect
i read all the reviews before ordering so i was expecting the difficult opening of the back cover in order to place the batteries . what tickled me was the arrow on the back showing which way to slide the cover, only thing is it opens directly opposite of the arrow. once i got it open placed the item in the area needing light voila its perfect, just enough light for just long enough to get where your going in the dark. took the dogs and cats a little getting used to much to there surprise it lit while they were going by it also. the light isnt as bright as some of these lights which is just what i was looking for, being backlit its not so glaring in the dark .all in all a good little light in the night

I bought these lights to help my elderly dog find ...
I bought these lights to help my elderly dog find the doggie door after being outside at night. There are no electrical outlets in our garage I could use without an extension cord. These lights are just what we needed. My dog can find her way in the dark and there are no extension cords all over the place. They are run by battery, but they are only on a few minutes each night, so I think the battery will last a long time.

LED. bright enough. no need for an outlet. motion and light detector. just what I was looking for.
I have several places that need a nightlight at night but have no outlet nearby. I wanted something that would come on only when it's dark and only when someone walks by. This does that. I also needed it to be LED. The back panel of this slides to one side, fairly easily. Just push firmly when you slide. I had to search to find out how to get to the batteries, because these lights come with no instructions. It does come with a 3M sticky square for each light so you can stick them to the wall (or wherever). The light takes 3 AAA batteries.
