This is perfect. It’s sturdy, simple and inexpensive. Just to note. This is not to keep a dog from getting into the front seat if they are fixated on that. This is a safety barrier for pets trained to remain in the backseat from being flung into the front in an emergency or short stop or as a reminder in case something makes them tempted to lapse their training. If your dog is hell bent on riding in the front you’ll be more successful with leads that clip into the seatbelts.

Great little product to keep our dog safely in the back of the car. Although she is harnessed in, she alway tried to come to the front and this helps to stop her

if you have persistent dogs trying to get through from backseats to the front, then this sort of works, I'd say it acts as more as a deterrent. If you want to truly stop them getting through, then you will have to attach some sticky back velcro on the sides of this product to the side of your seats truly stop them getting through properly, but otherwise, it is a quality product in terms of it's build and style. It now stays in permanently in my Mazda CX-5, and I've not got any velco in place either holding it, they've learned that they don't go beyond this barrier.
