Inspiring First Hand Account of Hitler’s Nazi Germany From an Unusual Perspective
What makes this account unique is that it is written from the perspective of a young Jewish female who had accepted Jesus as her savior. Persecuted as a Jew she and her mother (in the same religious space - Christian Jew) survived the horrors of Nazi Germany under Hitler’s reign of terror. There is a sense of forgiveness rather than bitterness permeating the writers life which she carried throughout her persecution at the hands of the SS and Nazis. It produces an unexpected strain of kindness to what could easily have been an angry tirade at the injustice of the dehumanizing treatment at the hand of abjectly ignorant people.Inspiring read for Christian believers but a story of inhumanity made more acceptable because it wasn’t filled with a desire to punish the persecutors but rather to relate the details of a tale of man’s inhumanity to man.A cautionary tale of how evil human beings can get when their minds are warped with hatred towards a concocted enemy. Reminds me of the Antifa and Millennial attitudes towards our current President and the danger of such an unforgiving tunnel vision mindset. In all, a page turner that was an engaging read made worthwhile by the lessons wrapped into a story of high level prejudice made national. Will capture your interest and reveal some needed lessons as you share Anita’s story of the terror of deep seated evil when you are the target.

Testimony
You can't have a testimony without a test and boy did this young woman endure trial and tribulation. This was a light read on the eyes and brain yet oh so heavy in my heart. Being a young Christian man who has endured many trials and tribulations throughout my short time on earth, I felt many connections to Anita and her story (which I enjoyed from beginning to end). Filled with moments of tears, laughter, sorrow, and joy, this book delivers an authentic experience of faith tested and refined by fire. Both, figuratively and literally. My prayer is that all followers of Christ, Jews, and unbelievers dive into this book and receive perspective and conviction from a story only God himself could have woven and allowed to be told so that we may all receive such a powerful testimony to reassure the believer and test the one who does not believe. Thank you Father for allowing this story to be told to the generations and providing us with such a worthy example of faith. I also thank You for Your unending and relentless love towards mankind. Even those who willingly do evil. God bless each and everyone who reads this book and this comment. Jesus loves you so much.- Joe Gil

Hope for our times.
A message of hope in a world that seems to be taking the path taken in the 1930's by Germany. May we find the strength and faith of the author of this book in Christ and avoid the mistakes of the past!

Life on the Edge of Hell with your hand in Jesus' hand
A very heartwrenching tale of life in Germany during wartime. It is told by a young Jewish girl who had an Aryan father. So she did not "look Jewish". She was able to escape some of the worst things, but life was no less fearful. She lost many family and friends... was abandoned by her father at first and later her sister. She and her mother managed to get by, but it was a look at what life was like during wartime for the ordinary German and for those who were "caught in the middle" of the bizarre situation created by Hitler's hatred of all things Jewish or whatever he found to dislike about anyone or anything. The most amazing thing is that through the ministry of a local Pastor who was amazingly brave ... she and her mother found Christ and their relationship with Christ miraculously protected them or aided them many a time. Jesus walked through it all with them. I have never read anything from the point of view of a Messianic Jew in Hitler's Germany. Very much an education.

Great insight into a young Jewish-Christian lady's heart, soul, and mind, while experiencing the hardships of Nazi Germany
This was a great book to read as a Christian, but I would also recommend for the secular crowd because this is a Non-fiction story, presented in the narrative of the person who experienced life as a Jew in Nazi Germany. The story was engaging, heartbreaking, and uplifting. The only downside was the writing, which was less than superb and made me laugh sometimes due to its simplistic style (I am not comparing my writing skills, but professional writing skills). That being said, even the writing style is a part of Anita's character. She was such a faithful and loving young lady, and her story is very important. WWII really happened; Nazi's were/are real people, and their victims were/are real people. Her story gives great insight into the conflicts that existed for those living in Nazi Germany, and how humans are capable of great and terrible things. I recommend this for the Christian and secular person alike, for it will allow you to understand the mind of a person who faces great persecution and oppression, yet remains faithful to the God and Savior she believes in.

Read this book with confidence!
We could hardly put this book down. Just reading one chapter before bedtime ended up being more chapters... An excellent insiders view of how hatred towards a people group festered more and more and led to completely destroy civilization. I noted that Anita's testimony about the Roman Catholic school systems taught the Hitler idolatry while the Lutheran Protestants taught a love for GOD's people shunning all of Hitler's propaganda. While reading this book I thought of how this also relates to this generation with an unreasonable hatred towards the Jews is festering from illiterate and ignorant peoples that have had religious leaders teach them that Hadou are the Yahud. (Yahud is the biblical term indicating Praise worship of One GOD whereas Hadou indicates a sorcerer of black magic). Could it be because the hapless recruits educated within Roman Catholic schools sincerely believed that Jews must be exterminated during Hitlers era are now Roman Catholic educated Muslims that sprout the same philosophy? What an interesting coincidence. Anita's testimony in her book offered insights of escape by Divine providence yet still suffering.

It's not that often that a book brings me to tears ..
But this one did. I've read many books on the holocaust but Anita Dittmans story is truly inspirational. For a child to be so brave and hopeful during such immense trials is miraculous. It's so well written and I was a engrossed from the first page. I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to read her story.

A different story from the Holocaust
An incredible story of a young Jewish girl who was a follower of Jesus. Mentored by loving Pastor and congregation during the war she encouraged many others to faith in Jesus throughout her own time of imprisonment and suffering. A wonderful example of how we should all live

Could Not Put This Book Down
A story of faith, raw courage and the miracle working power of God. The author relates so many instances of seeming coincidences that could only be God leading and guiding her. A book on one of the worst events in history, yet hope and the love of God shine through.
