I bought this bird feeder specifically because it came with a both a hanger hook and option for pole mount. The feeder is good quality. However as you can see by my photo that the hanger attachment is not strong enough to hold up the feeder against hungry critters. I had to purchase a pole and baffle to pole mount it. So don't buy this unless you intend to pole mount.

Easy to install - either on a pole (pole not included) with parts that are included, or hang with hanger (included). This is the second one we have had in the past 6 years. Our squirrels figured out how to get seed but only one at a time so it does deter them.

The design lets the food get wet and then the openings plug up. I am using it but wouldn't buy another

I was given a bird feeder exactly like this (in green) almost 20 years ago, and am still using it in spite of rain, snow, sleet and hail! It has endured at least 2 bear attacks, has gotten thrown to the ground, and a little bent out of shape, but is still holding up after all these years and a bit of reshaping. The feeder has hung from hooks or trees and the hanger has held up well in spite of it all. A few smart squirrels have figured out how to get to it, but give up when they realize it takes too much balance to get enough seeds. I would definitely order this bird feeder again.....if I ever have to!
