The Resume and Cover Letter Phrase Book: What to Write to Get the Job That's Right

I use this book to help my students and alumni to write the most important, yet difficult, part of their resume - the experience descriptions. Writing descriptions on the resume should be more than just a job description. It should show that the job seeker took time and care to write them. The bullet descriptions should be accomplishment and project based, and start with an action verb. This book is a great tool to get you started, and give you ideas. It has descriptions from waiter to descriptions for nursing. I highly recommend this book as one of your tools for rewriting an effective resume. It has helped our Becker students and alumni write effective resumes, that helped land them jobs.

Not one of the best resume books I'be read.

This book will be useful to anybody who is looking for words and phrases to strengthen his/her resume and cover letter.

Uses incorrect English throughout the book. I'm no English Professor, but I did test out of college level English. I gave it two stars because I can maybe use some parts of the phrases, after correcting the English. I will probably look for a different book, though.

Very boring book. No samples of cover letters.
