This isn't a solar light that can illuminate a path but for mood lighting along a porch or through a garden it's cheap, easy and casts a nice starbust pattern on the ground. They are small and cheap feeling but once in the ground you can't tell it's plastic. I have mine lighting the border of a flower garden and stuck a few in my large pots for a little ambiance. However, if you want more light for seeing stairs or a path this is not the route to go.

They look nice and I was not expecting real bright lights but they are bright enough to see your walk way in the dark. The plastic stake end that goes into the ground is plastic, and already one broke. Maybe the dog hit it sideway.

I've had these for about a year now. I live in a rural area so it's pitch black on a moonless night. I didn't want obnoxious bright lights but something subdued and these are perfect. Within a few months, most of these wouldn't last more than 4-6 hrs from dusk but didn't get any worse until about 10-11 months where they would be out by around midnight. These take AAA rechargeable batteries so I bought a 16pk of Amazon branded rechargeable AAA batteries and replaced all of them. The Amazon batteries come charged so they worked from day one. I've changed the batteries a few weeks ago but now the lights are slightly brighter and last all night long (at least 8-9 hrs). I woke up in the middle of the night and can see they're still on at 3 or 4am. Even after a few overcast days, they'll last all night.

Plastic seemed a little bit flimsy. Lights are bright, but small.

Gave us the perfect brightness & pattern on our rock garden. It’s not bright & not dull, just the perfect amount of brightness. Note: These are not glass or metal casings, rather the entire unit is a plastic mould. However I find that they are good quality. I would buy them again.

Unhappy with the purchase. The lights don't light up much and they die in no time.

Exactly what we were looking for. Look so pretty lining our driveway. Warm light and the shape the light casts at night is quite beautiful. Not incredible bright though if you are looking for an actual light source.
