A Challenging But Beautiful Solo
If you've never heard this song, look it up on youtube. It's beautiful and challenging. about 75% of this song is in tenor clef, which may be a little scary, and the range is from pedal Bb to a C# above middle C, which is a lot scary. That being said, it's not really all the hard. According to Ohio's music standards it's a Class A piece but it doesn't really feel that way. The only problem I had with it was before I took it to competition I had been playing trombone incorrectly for 7 and a half years; I never learned to tongue. The bulk of this song is played at 104bpm and you play Eb, Bb, D and F scales in 16th notes. That was pretty scary for me.Includes both trombone score and piano score. Definitely worth the buy.

Tenor clef - may not be best choice for intermediate players
The one main caveat concerning this item is that the notes comprising a large portion are plotted in tenor clef, instead of bass clef. If that is a significant barrier to your learning it, look for a bass clef version, or just plan on spending extra time to learn to read tenor clef. Also, confining to two pages means the sixteenth-note runs are squeezed together quite tightly, tight enough to make it difficult to write slide position numbers above the notes while learning it. Due to these two issues, this printed edition might not be the best choice for an intermediate-level player preparing for auditions. Though it may be impressive to be able to read tenor clef, most auditioners will be more attentive to accuracy of notes, embrochure, and dynamic expression. For an actual performance, one would do well to memorize the entire piece.

Great book for the price
I originally purchased a different book, found out we needed this one for our Son, who's performing a solo at nyssma. We ended up keeping both. Great prices for both books. I'm grateful Amazon had what we were looking for.

Great for experienced trombone player!
The item includes the solo as well as the piano accompaniment. It should be noted that most of the solo is in tenor clef. No visible errors from first glance. Easy to read/follow. I would recommend to any experienced trombone player due to tenor clef.

Easy to read, large print.
Used as my first jury piece in tenor clef. Easy to read, large print, and piano accompaniment within the rests!
