Great customer service!
I bought this 7 months ago and was loving it up until yesterday. I loved that it was not plastic and I didn't have to worry about nasty chemicals leaching into my coffee. However, it suddenly developed a crack where the handle attaches to the body of the dripper, which was sure to break at any moment (I could hear the glass scraping against itself). Thus, I sadly had to retire it and I'm back to using a plastic (bpa free) dripper. I don't know if it was a fluke that this broke within 7 short months of use, but I'm hesitant to purchase again given it's short life span.UPDATE: I am updating my review to 5 starts after the company contacted me. They are sending me a new coffee dripper. I love that they are standing behind their product like this.

Good, but fussy...
Perhaps I just have not found the ideal filter yet... I've had this for almost a year, and for the past month been using it daily as my French Press broke. I do like the feel of this, and the price was right, but the hole seems to be too large. With paper filters, (which I've used with Melita plastic cones for >/< 20 years, so I *do* know how to fold, how to use them, ;-) ) the water gets backed up and you have to lift the filter and coffee up to get things moving again. I got a re-useable filter, which I actually like better than paper anyway, but the water runs through too quickly. I have to be very conscientious about how I pour, rather than the cone doing the job of 'brewing' for me. If I don't pour VERY carefully and slowly, the coffee is far too weak... no biggie, pour out a cup or two and pour it over again, but still... So no Three Bears' Porridge yet. I CAN still make a great cup of coffee--it's just more work than, really, it's supposed to be.Love the idea, love the feel of it, but it's not *quite* working for me.

Great Dripper, offers simplicity and health benefits - good overall value
This arrived yesterday, and this morning I enjoyed one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a long time. Before deciding to purchase this dripper, I did spend some time doing research on different means to making a good cup of coffee, and decided that simplicity in the coffee making process was the best way to go.The Nee coffee dripper itself is quality - solid porcelain and it feels good to hold. It is breakable, so handle it with care and keep it in a safe place. The box that it came in will offer it some protection when storing it.A solid reason for getting a porcelain coffee dripper such as Nee, is to remove any contact with plastic in coffee making process. Scalding water and plastic is a toxic combination, chemicals from plastic will leech into your coffee. Plastic derivative chemicals in your coffee can't be good for the taste, but protecting your health is a much greater concern. This simplicity of the design of this Nee dripper completely removes all contact with plastic when you make your coffee. Also, this dripper is VERY easy to keep clean. Use, then carefully rinse off with water, presto, done. Put it away for next time.Your Nee dripper can make a great cup of coffee if you follow the simple guidelines given on their website. The only thing I would add, is to pay attention to water quality. I filter then distill my water (I have my own distiller - a megahome). This gets all the chemicals out of your water and prevents a brackish taste to your coffee. To further enhance the taste of your coffee with this great dripper, I recommend making your own healthy creamer! It is extremely easy to make:1) Soak a half a cup of almonds overnight in a cup and half of water.2) In the morning, pour the water and almonds into your blender along with a fresh date - used as a natural sweetner - don't forget to remove the seed from the date!3) Blend everything until smooth.4) After blending, you can strain the almond milk with a cheesecloth to remove the almond fiber, I don't bother with this though.5) Store in airtight container - stores for about 3 days. You can double the measurements if you want to make more, I make small portions of this creamer at a time to eliminate possible waste and use all the creamer while it is fresh.

This is made in China
I bought this after I read the seller's statement that it is lead-free and I hope that is the case, but I have not been able to find this documented anywhere else but the self-certification. I care more about this than how functional the product is. What value does a great cup of coffee have if the ceramic glaze leaches lead?

Second Nee was the Charm!
I like the Nee Porcelain Coffee Dripper because: it has a handle (not all drippers do), it has the flair at the base that makes it fit over all types of mugs and cups-and-saucers, it is white porcelain which I feel brews a better tasting coffee. Minor details: it is a little smaller than the similar dripper my friend purchased from a major coffee company (SB). It takes #2 filters and the filters fit into the dripper with very minor ruffles. I used to be very picky about the ruffles, but when I purchased an identical dripper from the same big name coffee company I discovered that not all drippers are created equal. A+ customer service! My first Nee arrived with a small blemish that might not have bothered most people, but I noticed it - the company took it upon themselves to replace my Nee at no additional cost to me. That's why they get 5 stars instead of 4. What could have been inconvenient was painless and hassle-free. THANKS!

Love the Porceline
I have loved my pour over coffee. As an older person I just cannot use the plastic versions of this Dripper. I love the feel of this dripper in the porceline. It cleans well and has served me well to make my coffee.

This doesnt work
which is surprising given how little there is to this kind of product. I think the problem is because there is only one hole. My other one has 3 holes and works great. The issue I'm having is for some reason when I use this one with my paper filters, half the time the filter rips, the other half it takes forever for the coffee to come out. Its bad, and very frustrating. Get one with more holes.

Love It!!!!!
I had a black plastic filter for years. I decided to upgrade to ceramic-wish I had done so sooner. Makes my morning coffee routine feel more special. It's thick and sturdy. Cleans easily too! Way better than plastic filter cup.
