Eder Flag Flagpole Cleat CL9 9 Inch Silver Std Cast

I installed this cleat on our flag pole at work. I was a little worried that the screws would come loose. I took the screws to one of the big box stores and purchased a drill bit, tap and handle to tap the holes for the screws. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be so one of the workers assisted me in getting the correct sizes. After tapping I used some blue thread locker in the threads and it is holding really well. Just what I wanted......on my flagpole now doing its job holding the rope........

I thought it might be too thin to wrap flagpole rope around but it wasn't. I like it.

Bought this to replace the cheap steel cleat that snapped off of my flagpole. I did have to drill as it was larger than the original but the quality was so much higher that I decided to try it. Am very glad that I did.

This cleat is sturdy and the perfect size for our 20’ flagpole.

Our much smaller one that came with the flagpole broke. Unless you can find a stainless one these are all cast, not sturdy. The stainless were too pricey so we bought this, thought a bigger one would hold up better. Because we were mounting it on a flagpole, we replaced the hardware with sheet metal screws, easier to install in a metal flag pole. Looks fine and obviously there are many less loops of the halyard than with the smaller one so it saves some effort.
