Updated: 3/7/19: Love this set so much, I ordered a 2nd set. It arrived quickly like all the previous orders. And like the others, this also included pieces with air bubbles. Thankfully, I had not returned the first order (see below) yet, so I ended up settling for the pieces between the two sets that were the least defective because I didn't want to have to order yet another replacement set or go through the inconvenience of another return.We purchased these strictly for food storage in the refrigerator & have not used them in the oven or freezer. We also handwash every piece. Now, that we've had a chance to put it to use, here are some pros & cons:PROS:1) Completely self-contained, space saving nesting. No need to store containers & lids separately. Each smaller container with its lid on fits inside the next size up container. Placing the lid on the largest one will self-contain 1 set. The 2 nested sets can be stacked on top of one another easily on any normal cabinet/pantry shelf. See last picture. (They fit well in our small, shallow cabinets.)2) Airtight & secure closure. Each lid is constructed of thick, non-brittle, BPA-free plastic with 4 attached closure wings, removable silicone ring, & built-in vent hole with sliding closure. The wings latch onto the built-in groves under a container’s lip for a solid fit while the silicone ring seals in its contents to maintain freshness for longer storage; better than any other product I've used to date including Anchor Corning, Pyrex, & Pampered Chef. To open, simply unlatch the lid & slide the vent closure to break the seal.3) Less wasted space. Its rectangular shape offers more storage for the space used compared to round containers or those with a more rounded bottom.4) Neat stacking. While it isn't marketed as having slip resistant lids, the plastic lids do have some resistance. We've stacked up to 3 in the refrigerator and none were knocked off or slid off while we rooted around them.5) Light enough for easy handwashing & does not retain odors.CONS:1) Quality Control seems to be an issue for the price. With all 3 of my orders (2 plus a replacement), several of the glass containers had air bubbles & annoying protrusions. In the first order, many of the lids were scratched (again, not a deal breaker for me) & the sliding vent closure was missing on one of the lids.2) Availability & selection. This is the only product offered by Gipfel on Amazon U.S. or anywhere else in the U.S. Their website offers other products, but it's completely in Russian, so I couldn’t determine whether these are available in different sizes/sets or whether individual replacements such as lids are available.The bottom line is that the product’s design is the best I’ve seen, but falls a little short on delivery. Gipfel could be The "it" name in the food storage category if they ramped up their quality control, offered more of a selection (size does matter), & offered replacement items. For now, I'm happy enough with my 2 sets & hope they last forever because the thought of having to go through this again is daunting. Besides, I’ve finally returned the first set. Maybe they’ll have stepped up their game by then.Updated 2/22/19: The replacement request was hassle-free & the replacement arrived quickly. One of the glass containers arrived with a minor defect, so I switched it out with one of the good ones in the original order (waited to return as contingency plan). All-in-all, the pieced together set is of good quality. All the pieces function well without any chips, scratches, air bubbles, or any other visible defects. The ventable lids are brilliant.Upped the original 2* to 4*. Would have given 5* if not for the hassle of having to physically take the return to the UPS store.Original Review: Arrived quickly. Disappointed that several pieces were defective. Hoping the replacement will be a better experience.The details:1) The lids are ventable using a built-in sliding piece to open/close the hole. The sliding piece was missing in one of the small lids. A lid with a hole defeats the purpose of having a secure lid.2) One of the large containers came with a good sized air bubble & the other with several tiny ones. I don’t know if this would potentially increase the risk of the glass shattering while in use, but I’m not taking that chance.3) Several of the lids were scratched. Not a deal breaker.4) I may have received someone’s return. Between the scratches, defects, Saran wrap on some pieces versus thicker retail quality plastic liners on others, & crumpled marketing liners inside several of the containers is highly suggestive.Will update when the replacement arrives.

I like that fact that three containers nest into each others. So when you are not using them, they are just in two nested containers. Save the space for me. The lids are tight, and keep the food in well. Whenever I use it for something in the freezer, I let it sit on the counter for a little bit before snapping the lid open (it's just easier).

the features are fine (leak proof, etc.) however the largest one already chipped on me! I was taking it out of the dishwasher and it just touched the one next to it and I had a shard break off! not happy about that! pyrex in comparison holds up well to even moderate abuse and banging around, these dont seem like they will last. I certainly wont be buying any more!

Overall, these are pretty nice containers. It's clear, however, that the lids should not be used in the microwave despite there being a nicely-designed and quite functional steam vent in place. The lids distort badly with the heat generated by the food inside (and I only reheated for a very short time). So that's disappointing, but otherwise I'm happy with them.

Fantastic! So easy to store. Got rid of all my plastic storage containers and switched to glass. Never looking back. Sturdy and convenient .

One was broken. Had to send them back. They looked like they may have been nice, but the fact that one arrived shattered and it was fully wrapped and in the middle of the stack in the box made me think they may not have been as well made as they looked. Such a mess when I pulled them out.

They seem high quality, thick and heavy glass, and i dont see any spillage, meaning a firm and seal tight grip when you close these. It does what i need it to do, would definitely buy again.
