It was okay
This book was ok. I love the authors other books I've read them all an they all held my attention but this one fell a little short I didn't find myself completely wrapped into it like the gossip girl and it girl series.

So Dull!
I love Gossip Girl and the It Girl books by this author and this one was a complete disappointment. Nothing really happened and the characters weren't really likable at all. It started out with so much promise, but once I bought the book after sampling, I regretted it.

Cum Laude: A Yuppy novel written by a GenX author
This is not a book for the same audience as "Gossip Girl". As an adult novel, it is for more mature, well-read readers because of the literary references. It has good flow, is never boring, or makes you wonder why you are bothering to read it. It is something everyone who was ever a freshman in college can relate to. There are several surprises in the story line; it is not predictable. There is a sympathetic portrayal of professors, lesbians, experimental drug experiences, fringe movements--all part of the young adult culture since at least the 60s, even though the author wasn't born until 1970. There is a broad range of character depictions with which readers get to be involved. The book jacket mistakenly makes it look like an extension of "Gossip Girl". It is unrelated, however, except in author's name. Cum LaudeCum Laude
