Great Crimping Tool
This is a great crimping tool for the price. I have been looking for a while and found this one. I did not want a hydraulic crimping tool. It seemed like overkill. This one works very easily and crimps/cold welds as good as any I have seen. The dye's are all built in to the head and there nothing to change. By pressing the dye lugs on the head you can rotate the dye and select the size you need. Much faster than swapping them out. You also need much less room. A typical hydraulic crimper is large, and has a set of swappable dye's. They come in a large case and are very heavy. This set comes complete with the crimper for sizes 10 AWG to 2 AWG (10,8,6,4,2), and the set of cable cutters. There is also a carrying case for storage. Crimping is easy and very light work. As with any crimper, place your lug/fitting into the dye setting, insert your wire/cable, squeeze the handles together and you are done. A perfect cold weld. The crimper is heavy duty and very durable. It is also very compact for a crimper. It performs and fulfills my needs perfectly. It is an outstanding value for the price, and I give it 5 stars.

Got the job done!
This clinching tool along with the pipe hose cutter and crimp clamp rings took care of a bathroom tub and shower connection that I put off for a while because I was debating on re-running copper pipe or go-with-the PEX piping. So, I decided on going with PEX. Went to the Home Depot to see what tools I needed to my surprise, the tool alone that can handle 1/2 "- 1" crimps was running well over $50.00. No crimp rings, no cutting tool, no nice carrying bag, nothing! So, what do you do in a situation like that? Head on over to Amazon.com and search for one and without much effort, I found the KOTTO Pex Crimping Clamp Cinch Tool and Pipe Hose Cutter that came with a calibration plate and crimp rings for 1/2" and 3/4" PEX pipe. The cutting tool sliced thru the 1/2" PEX pipe like it was butter! The lightweight tool was also able to trim off 1/8" of the PEX without slipping if you keep a steady hand. The crimps were clean and did not disengage until the crimp was complete. I have two more piping projects coming up in the house and I cannot wait to use it again. Good price with extras.

quick to complete work and seems to work fine after initial use
This review is for: Battery Cable Lug Crimper Tool 6-50mmยฒ, Wire Crimping Tool, Hand Electrician Pliers for Crimping Wire Cable with Cable Cutter for 10,8,6,4,2 and 1/0 AWG Wire Cable Cutting and Crimper with Storage Bag From Fstop Labs I received this yesterday and used it in a few crimps for 2AWG stranded, tinned copper insulated. Thus far I had been using a hydraulic crimper 16Ton YQK-300 by IWISS and will compare the two. Pro: Much easier to hold work and complete crimp with only my 2 hands and no helper. Much quicker overall to complete a good clean crimp. Dies do not squash terminal material out the sides like the hydraulic ones. The cutters made a nice clean effortless cut on the thick wire I'm working with. Cons: Dies are a lot narrower at 3/16" (5mm) than the hydraulic dies which vary slightly but are around 3/8" (9mm) wide but since this tool is so much faster to work with this is less of an issue than I thought it would be. There are no instructions and no reference chart for the die sizes. The description makes you think the dies are labeled for AWG but they are not, they are for mm. This was my fault and I should have looked at the product details more closely before buying. I had the cross reference chart for the conversion but you will need to look it up if you are working with AWG. The case is fine but the stitching inside for the elastic and velcro is poor quality being both loose and incomplete across the material. There was a run on one of the pieces of elastic. Even if all of this stitching fails I'm still glad to have the case. So far so good.

Great tool
Great Tool Saved me a ton of money having someone else make cables or buy them Caution: hard to crimp one handed this is not a function of tool but a fucntion of getting manuel pressure applied I almost bought a cheaper crimper that you pound with a hammer Just installed a meter requiring me to cut a cable and put on two lugs Would have been impossible with a hand/hammer type This was under a dinette in an RV, limited space, operated by a grumpy 67 man I got the job done without being banned from Heaven Another Pro Tip: Check the lug Size for cable diamater and end attachement point size I had a great crimp on a wrong size fitting first time around The Included cutters work great

Great Value for the price
The local plumbing store advised me on what to purchase or the option to borrow their tool for one day. Knowing that my project might span a few weeks, I decided to purchase. This tool was a fraction of the cost of the recommended tool and for my DIY usage, I figured would work fine. It has not disappointed. Did everything I needed it to. Coming with the cutter and clamps was a bonus as well!

Great value! Made the job quick & easy
This was a great option for me because I just needed the tool to repair a leak and reroute the piping on a new RV toilet install. Prior to ordering, I took a fieldtrip to Lowe's to price out the tools and I wasn't interested in investing in the cinch tool ($80-$100) and the pipe cutting tool ($25-$30) especially since I probably wasn't going to use it a bunch outside of the initial project. I considered trying to 'cheap out' and use a pair of needle nose pliers to clamp and a miter saw to cut the PEX to size , but I'm really glad I didn't. The clamps were harder to close than I anticipated, but the cinch tool made quick work of them (I don't know that I would've had the leverage required with a pair of regular pliers). The cutting tool was amazing. Very little force was needed to cut and the cuts were super clean! The carrying case is an added plus because I'm keeping it in my RV in case there are any future PEX problems and it keeps everything organized and stores away nicely in an area where I don't have a lot of extra storage. I can't speak to the longevity of the tools, since I will hopefully only need to use them once or twice, but they definitely made the job easier and saved me a lot of time and money from taking it to someone else to do the work.

Would definitely buy again
This product has worked perfectly for me. Takes a little getting used to for the clamp but all in all for the money, excellent.

Crimper good, cable cutter bad
The crimper works fine although you really need 3 hands to make it work easily. Need two hands on the handles and a third to secure the item you need to crimp. The cable cutters are worthless for cutting any thick cable. Would not cut 1/8โ cable.
