Does exactly what it should. Excellent product.
Does exactly what it should. Full metal construction and screwed straight into my Minolta MC mount vintage lens with no issues. Looks really nice. The included lens cap which fits inside the lens hood is a nice touch also. Well worth the money.

Well-made and compact
A well-made (metal) hood that screws onto the front of my zoom lens and is significantly shorter (and therefore more likely to used) than the hood supplied with the lens. Comes with a lens cap which youโll probably need as, in my case, the hood is too wide for the cap supplied with my lens.

Nice size, nice quality
I wanted a lens hood that wasnโt too big, as the lens I have (Canon 100 mm to 400 mm zoom) is already quite long. This product really fits the bill in this respect, and the quality is also very good as itโs made of aluminium. The only reason I didnโt give it five stars, is because the lens cap (which you have to use with it) is not particularly tactile. A traditional Canon lens cap is much easier to grip and pinch between your fingers, but this one can sometimes slip out of your fingertips. Quality and fit are good, but I feel that the fingertip grip lets it down slightly.

Hood'nt you know it
Finally managed to locate a metal screw-in lens hood for my lens (not your common size thread) instead of a plastic one. Made well and not thin metal. Already taken a couple of accidental knocks and survived.

Great item
Great item, fit well onto my Tamron 75-300mm lens, and comes with a lens cap that fits over it. Also came with a cleaning cloth which is always handy. Thanks!

Excellent Lens Hood.
Excellent lens hood for a very competitive price. Well constructed and looks very good on my Sony FE 55mm f1.8 lens with no vignetting or problems. Arrived complete with lens cap and cleaning cloth well packed in a cardboard box. The description on the Amazon site gives all the information you could want including the length of the hood which is an important detail when deciding which hood is the most suitable. Other sites donโt include this information. I chose not to use the supplied Sony hood as it turns this very compact lens into an unnecessarily (more for effect than performance) long one. May purchase another one to keep as a spare which is a recommendation in itself.

for a nikon p1000?
i bought this to put on my lens instead of a uv filter as i am a tad clumsy. It is great, on the 3000m lens, serves the purpose, but unlike the supplied plastic nikon lens, you can see it when the lens is at its widest

Fits my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC HSM ART - Canon EF-S fit
Good screw in metal lens hood has grooves on the inside to prevent light bouncing about . Might be slightly shorter than the official lens hood which is good. Fits my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC HSM ART - Canon EF-S Fit
