Havent got to use it yet but appears to be well made

It looks like a more or less sturdy crucible, except that it came cracked. This appears to be more than a cosmetic blemish - cracks visible on the outside carry through to the inside - looks like a 4x3 section could prematurely fail. I don't think I want to take any chances with this - I'll be looking to get a replacement.

Honestly this was much bigger than expected, decent price, melts awesome and is made with really great quality material. I was very shocked but I am definitely happy with this purchase and if anyone is looking to get into melting things down. I suggest using this one and giving it a go. It fit perfectly within our melting pot.

Works very well. Have used it to melt 25 lb of copper base materials with no problem. I would recommend this product. My only advice would is to cure it with a slow 2-3 cycle temper (300°F, 700°F, and 1100°F). By properly curing it, the metal pours out easier and helps prevent cracking. I have not had any cracking on mine. Even after many uses over 2 years. I also purchased a second one a year and a half after my first one, for aluminum. Both of them work well and I have not had any problems with them.

I have used may of these and find they very on firings. Some times I get 6-8 uses and some times I get 10-15. Not happy with only getting 2-3 pours out of 1 Crucible- and I am not new at smelting
