It was good while it lasted - customer service is excellent!
It was a lovely umbrella (note the past tense). It wasn't too heavy, didn't blow inside out when it was windy and, although it did take a bit of effort to close, it worked fine. Didn't have any problems untik two weeks ago. It was raining, I was getting off the bus, reached for the umbrella which is usually at the side of my bag, tried to open it....it flew open, along with the open / close button and somewhere along the line I got a cut on my finger. The umbrella didn't open and I couldn't be bothered to fight with a broken umbrella. When I got home I realised the open / close button was missing (must have flown out when I opened it), and that was it. Disappointing really, as it seemed a nice umbrella and I loved the colour.***Update***Shortly after writing my review I was contacted by someone from the company and was given a replacement. And the replacement has perform as good as the Samsonite I had for many years. So far it’s about two years strong, long may it last!

Good, but needs strength to close it.
This is a very strong umbrella which has survived some strong coastal winter gusts. It did turn inside out on a couple of occasions but went back the right way easily enough with no apparent damage. However, potential buyers should note the following:Firstly, the spring mechanism that opens the umbrella from its collapsed, closed state is extremely strong. Consequently, you need a fair amount of strength to close it again. There is a button in the handle that you press to open the umbrella. The handle extends to full length and the canopy opens with quite a lot of force. You press the button again and the canopy collapses and folds up, but you still need to push down hard on the top of the umbrella to concertina the handle. I do it by holding the end of the handle against my abdomen and pushing the top of the brolly towards me. And I'm by no means weak. Anyone with weak hands or wrists, e.g. with arthritis, may struggle.Secondly, if you press the button to collapse the canopy, e.g. when going into a shop, before you can open it out again you have to completely close it, which is a bit of a nuisance.

Very Pleased ...
Storm-Resistant Folding Umbrella For Women/Ladies With Water Resistant Case (Burgundy)Fantastic Product, nice and sturdy. Opening / closing mechanism is a breeze to use. Has stood up to some stiff breeze so far where other umbrellas have struggled, but too soon to tell how it will fare in stronger winds. Carry case is a nice bonus, plus at this price, its well worth it.

Super Pluvio
My burgundy/'plum' Pluvio umbrella is the answer to the UK's ever surprising weather. Kept at the ready in bag, briefcase, backpack or car it is automatically operated in a moment. I find the chunky handle comfortable to hold, which is a bonus if you have arthritis, while the canopy's wide diameter and height ensure there is no need to shrink oneself to fit. Closing is also at the touch of a button, with a hard surface helping to counterbalance my push to complete the process. In addition to the usual slip cover, a smart zipped shell case is provided so that once wet the umbrella, in its case, can protect the inside and other contents of your bag, briefcase, backpack or car storage.Other makes of umbrellas I have owned, of which there have been many, have been too small to be of use, collapsed in the feeblest breeze, let the rain through or the mechanism has failed. The original price suggests quality, the online discount is generous and the reviews I read were very positive, all of which influenced my choice.

A most excellent umbrella
I have had this umbrella about ten days and so far I have not had the oppertunity to use it due to a lack of rain when I have been out *how lucky can you get*. IIhave fully inspected it and it appearts to be very robust to compeate against the rain and wind that we get in this part of the world (the fenlands of Lincolnshire). I love the opening and closing of the umbrella just by pressing the button on the handle. I now just want the right weather copnditions to give it a full test. They say be careful what you wish for)

Great Umbrella
So it finally rained yesterday and I got to try out this umbrella - impressed! It opens and closes at the touch of a button - it feels really strong and sturdy and the canopy of the umbrella is a good size and covered me very well. It arrived on time and well packaged.

Lovely well made brolly love the case, but makes it a bit heavy so will find another use for it, that’s two now we have with spring open and shut a bit fierce but will get used to it no doubt with the British weather.?

The worst ever - very disappointed
I purchased two pluvio umbrellas last September and I cannot tell you how disappointed I am. The first umbrella lasted one month - we don't get major storms in Dublin - the push up button broke on the third go. The second umbrella is now stuck and I cannot open or close it - I still have the label attached to it and only used it once. The packaging is good. Needless to say - I won't be buying aginhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/review/create-review/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_wr_but_top?ie=UTF8&channel=glance-detail&asin=B06Y6FY19R#
