While the book does have some great behind the scenes photography, if you are looking for in depth reporting about this famed era of racing, this might not be the book for you. If you are a fanatic about CAN-AM or just about automotive racing when it was raw and exciting, then this is a worthy purchase. Otherwise, it is best as a supplement to a CAN-AM library.

Another absolutely sensational selection of body-work-off photos providing not only engine but also chassis details. And as it says the 60's, so I hope there is an equal volume on the 70's Can Am Cars. Definitely a keeper. Just wish I could get the Chaparral volume from Amazon.ca Keep them coming Karl!

Not many secrets here. Some interesting pictures of obscure cars but not really meaty.

Can-Am remains a mystical memory of some great chassis, huge torquey lumps, varied characterful tracks and ballsy drivers. At the time I resented the dominance of the McLarens, but now respect the determination and consequent achievements of the team. If, like me, you really enjoy looking at photographs of big, multi-cylinder engines, chassis details, suspension layouts and such like, this book is a fantastic cavalcade of eye candy. It's nice engineering too - the kind you can readily perceive and understand, created by blokes' hands and eyes, not by a Mac!

This is a book of pictures and small info about them, the good thing is the technical point of view of them. Close ups of suspensions and chassis but the quality of the paper and the pics definition could be better.
