Works great. Because the gauge is not liquid filled and if it fills with water will fail in a short time, I installed a 3 inch pipe, vertically out of the top of my filter and then mounted the gauge. this made a large air pocket to prevent water from getting into gauge. With this extra air pocket, this gauge will last for many, many years.I think the vendor should offer a kit that includes extension pipe for those like me that want it.

This gauge is not to be used where exposed to the elements. It only lasted about three months before it filled up with water and became very rusted and stopped displaying the pressure.

I purchased this to replace an existing gauge that had filled with water and then dried over the winter leaving crystals that made it unreadable. Upon arrival this seemed much higher quality than the one I had. It was easy to install and worked great instantly. Unfortunately by day 2 it was half full of water. Still reads somewhat.

I was shocked when a pool technician told me that filter pressure gauges pretty much last only a year, so we decided to replace our one year old gauge that wasn’t reading correctly with this one (which was indicated for our Filter model). Unscrewed the old one, installed the new one. One minute. Glad to see in the instructions to make sure to mount it vertically which we hadn’t done with the first one (maybe why it failed). This new one is easy to install and read and was VERY well priced - so I bought TWO!

Solid metal connection piece with (~ 3mm thick walls) unlike my previous replacement gauge which turned out to only have ~1mm-1.5mm thick walls on the part the screw into the filter. The screw-in connection corroded to the point that it started leaking with-in a year and almost ruined the treads on the Filter.

Water gets into these due to the filter system mounting them horizontally. As a result mine seem to last about one summer before the needle simply stops moving. Adding a few pieces of tubing from the local hardware to mount the gauge vertically is my next project to improve longevity. The unit works and seems accurate based on previous readings and conditions. It will do the job.

Product came in. I knew immediately when I felt the weight or lack thereof that is was a cheap piece of crap. It was easy to install. The moment I touched the thing, the cheap PLASTIC gage clear face cover came off. Then, it IMMEDIATELY leaked after install. It did read pressure though. For the price for a simple pressure gage, the quality should be better! Just ANOTHER Chinese piece of crap.Look elsewhere. If a gage feels light, its because it's a price of crap. Avoid it.

Stopped working shortly after we installed the gauge and caused our pump to lose its prime when the killed power to the pump. Replaced it with an inexpensive pressure gauge that we bought at Walmart and the problem was solved.
