Nautica Beach Umbrella UPF 50+

Gets the job done. I had this for a week in LBI NJ. We had bad windy weather all week. It could not hold up to the wind but nobody's umbrellas were. When it's not ultra windy it does the job and its light for carrying. It's the best you can do without buying the huge wooden commercial umbrellas that are really bulky

My husband is recovering from 8 surgeries for skin cancer, and we researched umbrellas extensively before purchasing the Nautica. It was big enough to give both of us shade and had a great UPF. We went to the beach on a beautiful sunny day to try it out. As soon as we (attempted) to put it up, one or two spokes came out of their flimsy plastic holders. We put them back, and the same thing happened with other spokes. Finally we thought it was all set, and the umbrella went flying after a moderate breeze. We packed up and came home.I returned from a hospitalization and tried to return the umbrella, but the 30 day return limit had expired by a few days. I sent an email to the seller explaining the situation, but haven't been contacted. The umbrella sits in our basement. We bought a new RIO umbrella that is not as big or as nice, but at least it stays up.So disappointed. Will not purchase from the seller again.

The sand auger at the end of the pole does not hold in the sand, It is the same size as the pole and does not have a large screw to pull it self into the sand. It just lifted out of the sand even though it was set deep in the sand. The wind would surly blow it away. I have a Tommy Bahama that has a large sand auger that holds MUCH better. I would not recommend this product if you expect any wind at your beach.

Easy to open and close, great diameter providing plenty of shade, air vent in the top reduces the likelihood of it catching excess wind and blowing away. We took it to the beach the week it arrived and it screwed into the sand easily and stayed put for the 3 hours we were there. Lovely bright colours, easily identifiable when returning to our belongings. So far it seems to be of pleasing quality; we have no complaints.

Did not get to use it yet, will bring with us this winter on our trip to Florida. Removed from the shipping box to inspect and could tell immediately it was heavy duty and well made. When ordered the main worry was inserting it into the sand.Pleased to find it comes with a short pole that inserts into base for leverage in turning into sand! Can't wait to use it!

I took this umbrella to the beach for the first time today and the top of the umbrella actually blew apart from the pole. It looks like it was just glued on, which is how I am hoping to fix it. I have Nautica beach chairs which I love. I was hoping to find the same quality with the umbrella. It was disappointing.

It's big and it's nice but doesn't stay anchored well enough. No good in wind at all. Blew away first time we used it.

This product is just as nice as the images suggest. The colors are beautiful. It is lightweight and so, so easy to setup and take down.
