Apparent good quality
I bought the 1/4" NPT MxF. The body is stamped 304SS and I've no reason to believe it's not. Together with an elbow and short SS nipple I replaced the drain valve on my air compressor with this combination and it's working great. Holding pressure at just under 120psi so I would give the ball valve good marks.02/09/2019 Update: While I still feel this is an excellent choice for the money I have learned it's not bubble tight. Most ball valves aren't when it comes to gas/air and this one is no exception. The compressor leaks down over time. Probably takes a week to drop from 120psi to 80. Another week and it's down to 40. Haven't yet seen it hit 0, don't know if it will hold some level of pressure or not but no more often than I use my compressor, this isn't a big deal for me.

Good valve
Came as advertised. My only complaint is that the female threaded side was rife with shavings and pits in the threading. I was going to use teflon tape regardless. Only reason for 4/5 stars.

Works on 1/2 " pipe thread male or female
I used it as a drain valve on my camper fresh water tank drain. Nice to drain the tank with a 1/4 turn. Chrome and brass should last a long time.

Not good quality
After going through the effort to install in my system I learned that the valve leaked through the stem. The threads we also not true NPT and did not seal correctly.

Used to replace plastic drain plug in camper hot water heater
Nice quality built item. Used this to replace the drain plug in our campers hot water heater. I had to remove and reinstall the blue piece via a small screw to have enough clearance to turn it in, but once installed there is plenty of room to reinstall blue piece and it is short enought to fit behind the water heater cover.
