Dorman 911-064 Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid Compatible with Select Cadillac/Chevrolet/GMC Models

Exact match/fit for 2008 Avalanche. Included wiring harness and solved problem.

Comes with the pigtail to adapt from the OEM connector. Shipping could be better; it was timely but in the original box. That box was not designed for mailing and was barely holding the canister and pigtail was luckily hanging on by a piece of tape. Installation was easy. I didn't have to relocate on my 08 5.3 Suburban as others had mentioned. It is much a much larger canister, but if you remover the old bracket, this one comes with a new one that bolts right back. The unit is turned a different direction from the original, but fit fine. Also the line running to the vapor canister runs below instead of over the other lines, but again it fit fine. Easier to fuel and better starting. Now I did chage the canister and purge valve by the intake too. Overall great product, it's been in for a week and performing as it should.

Definitely improve my gas mileage immediately! I drive a big Escalade SUV and I went from 12 miles per gallon to 16 miles per gallon! It was fairly easy to install except for on clipping the long hose that goes back by the gas tank. It was hard to reach it on my vehicle...

Awsome quality at a fair price

Would have given this 5 stars except for 1 major flaw. The vapor solenoid valve worked the way it is suppose to, the replacement plug color code is backwards which holds the solenoid wide open throwing an error code. Once I figured that out and corrected the wiring sequence, the solenoid valve functioned property. After driving the vehicle for approximately 15 minutes the engine light went off. I used my code reader to check the OBDIi system and there was no fault code detected. Hint, use your voltage meter to check the wiring prior to installation. I should have done this first instead of just matching the color coded wires. Obviously not an OEM type replacement plug..

It's fit perfectly and on the picture it show with the adapter wire but when it arrives it doesn't come with adapter wire . I had to went out to buy the adapter wire.
