I bought this primarily because it's non-toxic. I looked at several other grill cleaners and the warnings were truly frightening. I decided to try this first on a small portable grill that I purchased. I was a secondhand grill I bought for a couple of bucks to use tailgating. It was a little nasty inside from use but functioned just fine. I disassembled the grill and sprayed everything down liberally with the Simple Green. Came back after 10-minutes and scrubbed everything down with a kitchen scrub brush. Voila! Pristine new grill in about a 1/2 hour!If possible, I would definitely recommend taking the innards of the grill apart before cleaning. You'll be able to get the cleaner into the nooks and crannies and get a much better result. This cleaner isn't spray-on, spray-off, and you've got a perfectly clean grill at that point in my opinion. It does a great job of loosening the grime so you can come behind it and easily scrub away the remaining bits. I applied the cleaner twice.I wore basic nitrile gloves. Mostly to keep the grease off my hands. No harsh smell or caustic vapors. I didn't have any concerns that I could wind up with a serious chemical burn like so many oven and grill cleaners on the market. I would definitely use this again to clean the grill.

used the simple green cleaner on some sheet and that were pretty crusty , really surprised me as how well it worked, I did use a steel wool pad on some of the harder areas and was well satisfied, did not burn my hands while cleaning at all

Good cleaning agent.

I had this product in a pump spray bottle and the product worked wonders on the caked on grease on my grates; belonging to my barbecue grill. The spray bottle didn’t work as it should, and so I decided to order this type of spray. I definitely like it much better than the pump spray. I’ve also used it on my stove grates and it’s a really good product!!

Direction said to leave on for “several minutes”. I sprayed on and set timer for 5 minutes, came back and the spray had evaporated completely. Sprayed on again, waited a couple minutes and really had to rub hard to loosen the greasy film. I was expecting it to work like engine degreaser I guess. Not so. Maybe it would work with time but it just evaporates to quickly.

This product is easy to use, it made cleaning my BBQ easy. When I was done my grill looked like it was new! However, I would recommend wearing a face mask since it does have a strong scent/oder. Use in a well ventilated area.

If this became unavailable I may cry… love this stuff!
