Received today. I ordered all these parts even though I suspected the heating element had failed. It turned out the original heating element was still fine, but the high limit thermostat has burned out and burned right through one of its connecting wires. It looked like the cycling thermostat had a corroded wire connection as well. I replaced both of those and crimped on some new spade terminals to make sure the connections were sound. I went ahead and replaced the thermal fuse as well. Everything was ready to access and quick to swap out. And the dryer worked perfectly. As a master of fact, I'm not sure my cycling thermostat had been working properly for years, because all of a sudden I can actually have low heat in my dryer. I think it had been stuck on high heat all this time! This was a very cheap fix, and it took very little time. Save yourself a service call and try this easy DIY fix! The components all fit perfectly, which I was concerned about, because this dryer is pretty old. I wasnt positive I had found the right part numbers, but I did. The only thing I don't know is how well they will last, but I suspect they should hold up well with the tight new spade connections. I'll update my review if they don't last very long.

Ordered these because my Whirlpool gas dryer wasn't heating. Replaced everything in my dryer with what came in the box. They was very easy to install. In fact, the installation is the easiest part, it's the opening the back cover with all the screws is time consuming and tedious. Just watch a DYI video on YouTube explaining how to install these and you're golden. I had absolutely no experience installing any of these and I was able to install them on the first try no problem. Saved so much money from calling a pro repair man to come install them when I can just do it myself. The only problem, after installing these my gas dryer still wasn't working blowing out flames but it wasn't the fault of these parts. It was the Gas Valve Coil and the Flame Sensor that needed to be replaced after further troubleshooting so I ordered them separately and after the installation everything worked great! Even though these parts wasn't what I was looking for and wasn't what fixed the issue, I will still give them 5 star because my gas dryer is over 20 years old so I might as well replaced all the old parts with the new ones while I'm at it. These will work for probably another decade (crossing my fingers) or more because I will need to replace the entire unit with a new one.

This Kit is an excellent price. It included 4 parts (Thermal Fuse, Thermostat, Thermal Cut-off kit) that are straight forward to install on a Whirlpool Dryer, and will keep you dryer running without having to spend big repair costs ! The price of this kit is much lower than the pricing on replacementparts.com or other sites for these exact same parts. Each of these dryer parts can be tested with a multimeter while they are still mounted inside your dryer (Utube videos show you how) to check if you actually need to replace each one. In our case only the thermal fuse was bad so we only replaced it and the dryer was running again.

so far so good. its been a couple days now and it seems to be working as intended. very easy to install so those thinking about calling someone - please give it a try on your own and save some money by doing it on your own. you will feel good and will start to do more and more on your own and you will enjoy it and save money!

I used this kit for my 2009 Maytag MGD5700TQ (Whirlpool) Gas Dryer. I could probably rate this as a 5-Star aftermarket appliance repair kit. The long term reliability remains to be seen. Initially this kit restored heat to the gas ignitor and also a full range of dryer temperature settings (Cool, Medium, High). I am definitely pleased with this purchase and it appears to have been a good value. It was also pretty easy to install these parts. You turn OFF the power, UNPLUG the dryer and carefully move the dryer away from the wall to gain access to the back metal panel. There were about 9 or 10 hex head sheet metal screws to remove. Once that large back metal panel was removed, these thermal cut-off based parts are all right there for easy access and removal. Removing the wire connectors is a bit tedious but still very doable with patience. You simply remove the old and replace with the new, being careful to replace all affected WIRE connectors to their EXACT same terminal locations. Taking a (phone) picture first easily takes the mystery out of these individual part tasks. By far the most important replacement part is the NEW THERMAL FUSE. That part, all by itself, can often correct any dryer heating issues. Regardless, if you have an older dryer like I do, it's the perfect time to replace those other thermal cut-off switches. Finally, I would also advise you remove the (2) dryer lint screen screws from the TOP of the dryer. Then carefully remove the main metal dryer vent (which connects to the dryer top). From there, clean out the dryer vent, including the main dryer 4-inch round vent, which connects to the main dryer vent HOSE. Quite frankly, the hose can easily be replaced at that point. Doing so can dramatically improve dryer safety and overall efficiency. I also used a soft brush attachment to my vacuum hose to carefully, thoroughly clean the large stamped metal main dryer vent. Those 3 to 4 foot long units collect a great deal of lint over time. They can also, similar to a clogged vent hose, create real fire hazards. So take full advantage of these free, very critical dryer safety maintenance tasks while you have this easy open access. Then carefully replace each piece, being particularly careful that the main stamped metal dryer vent is positioned so that it seats properly, beginning with the two top lint screen screws. Tighten snugly, absolutely, but do not overtighten. Basic, unhurried dryer replacement part and lint cleaning tasks restore life back to your appliances. Be careful, accurate and thorough. Do NOT be in a hurry; not after this effort and the value you are now restoring back into your dryer. Don't forget about the dryer main drum rubber belt AND the drum WHEELS. Do those later when time.

Worked well for my DIY project. Fixed the dryers heating problem. Figured I'd buy the kit and replace all the components at once. Would definitely purchase again if needed.

I have a 20 year old Frigidaire dryer that doe not have computer controls. It is the old fashioned dryer with the friction timer knob for choosing the minutes by cranking the knob to the time you want. I chose to keep the dryer, as it has a stainless steel interior, works like a commercial dryer, and has never had a problem. I replaced this sensor, and cleaned out all the ducts coming from the filter to the dryer exhaust. I put in the sensor, along with the two heater coils ($9) and voila, a perfectly heating dryer. The good news is that this dryer would not end up in a dump, as waste. It's great how just changing two parts(maybe $25max) results in saving nearly $1,000 on a new dryer and good for the environment.

Parts all fit Kenmore gas dryer, looked as good as originals but that is hard to tell. One of the thermal cutoffs were elevated from the opening by about 3/4" on the original, but the one in this package set directly in the opening. It appeared this one had slightly higher heat ranges, which seemed to make sense not having the air gap of the original. I concluded it was a design change and installed this new part. Dryer runs fine now.

Sure enough, here's a kit with replacement parts for all the common things that go bad after a decade or two. It took only 20 minutes or so to replace them all and get my dryer running again.
