I love this book!!! It is the first manga that I've bought because I'm teaching myself Japanese, I don't understand everything yet, but I've read this book in English before so I know what is going on with the little Japanese I know so far. This is exactly what I wanted!!!

Sent me volume 2 instead of 1.Not really upset since I bought this to practice Japanese, and not for its riveting story. lolQuality is a little lower than I expected, but not terrible.

This manga is pretty helpful if you are trying to learn Japanese. Be it that it is aimed for children, I suppose that would make sense. On top of that, it is a pretty cute story that I would recommend reading anyway. Although I recommend getting at least the first four, especially if your currently learning Japanese to see the language in many different scenarios.

This is a wonderful way to try and teach yourself how to read Japanese Hiragana.. There is Kanji mixed in the text here and there but that is easy to manage with a guide.. There is something about reading a comic in the original language it was meant, without any persuasion from the translator. You become the translator and allow yourself an opportunity to capture the meaning of every panel.. good luck!!

This is the first manga I’ve purchased that is entirely Japanese, and I’m impressed! It’s a tasteful story with useful words inside. With basic kanji, furigana above for kanji you don’t know, hiragana, and katakana; this book is ideal for people who have basic Japanese knowledge, yet want to test it or learn more.I recommend this book for people studying Japanese, or for anyone with Japanese knowledge who likes a cute story.

The title's all screwy, but I can confirm that if you order this product, you will get a copy of Yotsuba&! issue 1 in Japanese, complete with the little paper half-cover thing that often comes on new Japanese books.

Given that some of the explanations are manga slang, it would have been nice to have an english translation included or at least a link to one.

Great way to start practicing kanji. Challenging but worthy the effort.

Fantastic book for building up vocabulary once you reach an intermediate Japanese level. Probably not the best resource for beginners unless you have the patience to search word translations often.Illustrations are very lively and the humor is very light and enjoyable.Arrived much sooner that I thought.Strongly recommend!
